PM me with an offer for BAF and ARMA 2

lets get clariety going in this thread.
ArmA 2 = 1 game(which no one really plays anymore)
ArmA 2 Arrowhead = 1 game(which everyone is playing)
BAF = Expansion pack requiring one of the above(which are used by some serves, not all and isnt required to play on those servers.)

Well I have all 3 for clarity. Make me an offer in PM form if you're keen.

So what should I be trying to get then. Just Arma2:OA, or should I be getting BAF and PMC as well? (ie. is anyone playing the add on pac's in multiplayer?)

There are servers with BAF.
The BAF faction is included in a patch for free, the catch is that all the textures and sounds for the faction are really low quality.
So everyone can play the BAF but only those who buy it will have nice looking and sounding soldiers.

You can also get A2:CO (A2+A2:OA) + BAF/PMC DLC Bundle for $63.20 From the Developer at www.sprocketidea.com (http://www.sprocketidea.com )
So thats everything for $63.20 AUD to keep it simple :D

So thats everything for $63.20 AUD to keep it simple :D
To be specific:
ARMA2:CO (needed for PR:ARMA) AU$45.82
http://www.sprocketidea.com /joomla/index.php?page=shop. product_details&product_id=33&category_id=2&option=com_virtuemar t&Itemid=2&vmcchk=1&Itemid=2
ARMA2: Expansion packs (Not necessary, but if u play enough to care) $15.45
http://www.sprocketidea.com /joomla/index.php?page=shop. product_details&flypage=sprocket.tpl &product_id=40&category_id=13&option=com_virtuemar t&Itemid=2
So your total will be ~$46 - $65 depending on currency fluctuations and if you choose to buy the expansions (I wouldn't, as I play ARMA2 on average about 2 hours per month because of the intensity of the fun I have with it.)
I'd sell you mine for $30 but I'm holding onto it with the hope that PR:ARMA comes out before I leave and ARMA finally gets an enjoyable gamemode that will make my money well spent.

Japan in Dec/Jan hopefully assuming the company gives me the early placement I requested *fingers crossed*
And I'd definitely recommend Sprocket over Ebay due to the pitfalls of Ebay-cdkeys and such (you can't be sure you're not buying from a scammer or that the key will go byebye in a few months) whereas with sprocket you're basically buying it straight from the bohemia devs (not quite but almost!)

Id go sprocket, good prices, easy and simple, and above all directly supports the devs (run by BIS) also bundy when you get it up and running head over to the ausarma ts, thats were the majority of aus/nz arma guys meet up.

How'd you go? Get it sorted? If you need a hand cause your using Steam give us a hooler, I had a bit of an iffy time figuring it all out for myself cause no-one else used steam ... that and Delta, Rhodesy and Gunner were being lazy asses playing the game themselves and not bothering to help me :P

really really strongly! suggest you DONT get it off of steam...
when you start to used more advanced mods (like ACRE, like mumble but with radio comms and ALOT better) you will have problems...
but if you are just geting it to play nilla then go ahead..

The ace radio mod with ts3 worked fine with my steam copy of arma 2 last time I played it.
EDIT: but steam can cause frustration.
eg when a 100mb patch came out, steam made people download the whole game (like 7gb!!!) instead of just applying a patch :disgust:
And thats why I bought arrowhead in retail, which works fine with arma steam.

SprocketIDEA is having a 50% off sale for 3 days only (Thanksgiving sale). This includes ArmA2, Operation Arrowhead and Combined Arms (both A2 and OA bundle).
You can pick up Combined Arms for US$28.18
So if you wanted to get into ArmA2, now is a great chance, or maybe tell your mates so they can join in on the fun.
All games are not boxed sets and must be downloaded, although you are buying through the developers own company so all proceeds go directly to reimburse them for their continued hard work ;-)
I can't post the link, so just Google "Sprocket IDEA" and click the "Thanksgiving Sale" link. Easy as pie.

Yeah, and then you didn't want to help me cause you didnt know how :P
If anyone has ArmA:OA on STEAM and needs help just let me know, I have set EVERYTHING up and it all works sweet as a whistle, the only hard part was cause I had to research and learn it all by myself. It is possible.

I have the steam version... and I don't recall having issues?
I had to-redownoad it once cause Steam was stoopid... but apart from that seems fine. Having said that, i haven't played in Moons.
