View Full Version : Community Training - 15 December - Infantry Training #102

For this training session I thought we'd concentrate on Team deployable and selected kits.
As I will need to use some super duper admin hacks the server will need to be locked so assets can be deployed without worrying about spawn times. (will need to test this to confirm

Each squad will move through a weapons stand and practice utilisng each one.
We will need pilots, both transport (for moving troops around) and to be shot down by AA
As always please discuss.
Pilots x8 max:
(we can sort out individual roles closer to the date)

Happy to be instructing or HAT/LAT/TOW/AA practice
Edit: Since this will be locked, might want to advertise it a bit on the servers. A couple of people joined the other night with no idea what it was really about.

I am happy to provide piloting services. As I'm still a bit green when it comes to flying, I'm hoping this experience will work both ways.
Although I'm also keep to learn about aiming LAT kits. Damn things always mess me up at anything +200m.

Plan is to do air training at a later date - for this exercise we need more experienced pilots. It would be fairly disruptive if troops being transported met with a unfortunate accident.
Having said that.. as long as you can take off then you might be a more suitable candidate for the Target practice :P - let me know what you want to do.

Anyways - if some of the proficient snipers want to put their heads together and develop a training plan and give it - I'll be more than happy to help out with the server side setting up - but at the moment it's pretty low on my priorities.

One thing Noddy, make sure you increase ticket count so round will last a little bit longer with choppers costing ~20 tickets.
Also able to trans and be a target if needed

Noddy, I could do Mortar training if you like. I could also fly a chopper, but that can be secondary.

I would happily be a target drone for the newbs and transport if its required.

I'm not a newb but I sure as will be shooting you down! :P
If I'm avaliable I would gladly teach AA ... I <3 that kit ... its all about timing and patience. Chase the chopper, scare the pilot, use its flares, and wait for the right time to strike ;) O yeah ... you can sometimes cheat the system with AA ... just gotta know where to aim.
FYI I may not be there on that weekend, I might (depending on the weather) be going camping. Just wanted to put my hand up just in case.

Just a suggestion, but LAT/HAT training should also be done sometime in an urban environment, which is quite different compared to something like Kashan which lacks cover or alot of hidey holes for inf to ambush armour.

Would teach TOW if I had a microphone, but it's dead.
Seeing as I was wrong about my departure date to aussie, I'll make an appearance as a chopper pilot, provided I'm allowed to do this..

Either of the two GAU servers and I think the last was 2030AEDT (8:30pm Sydney Time).
But saying that, it depends when Noddy is available and when he wants to do it.

perhaps I should lock this thread until we're good to go?

May I participate and be a humble student?
Are we able to take all the lessons one by one
or do we have to choose only a few?
No confirmed date yet?

Depends:
IF the continual postin helps you guage the level of interest, and thus, will effect how much of your attention it gets... leave the thread open, and we'l be squeaky wheels.
However, if the squeaky wheel principal aint gonna result in you greasing it, then lock the thread until you can make it happen, and we'l all wait impatiently (but silently at least) :)
Alternatively; is delegation an option? <looks around>

No confirmed date.. although I have a few days off in the next couple of days ;) so I should be able to do the testing I need to do (secret admin hax to insta spawn stuff)... I then reconfirm everybody's availability and make it happen.
