I think I still need help with yoma. Or can I get the mod for Island life without yoma and set it up like you have Chan.???

For Island Life, you still have to use the Addon Sync thing to download it. But once its downloaded, you can use the method in that video to create the shortcut.
Whats your problem exactly with yoma?

Wait stop! You're using Yoma? urk. Use Six Updater if you can, I demonstrate how to use it in the end of my video! :)
Otherwise, you'll find all the stuff you download will be in your ArmA2 folder, and you'll have to copy and paste that into the Operation Arrowhead folder each time, as that's where the mods are sourced from.
But then again, its up to you.

Six updater is the worst program imo, it installs stuff all through your pc that doesn't uninstall properly, not to mention its clunky un user friendly and well plain bad... I'd rather the extra movements from yomas than use it.

Nice work Chan.
Here's a few extras from me...
Firstly, I skipped most of the steps, and simply made a copy of the OA batch file, edited it, and now I'm away.
Secondly, I added a few extras to the command line which now have me doing this... :db:
I'm playing Island Life on the same server, so I now have a one click launch all the way into the server :)
-connect=173.208.82.1 22 -port=4876 -password=PutPassword Here -nosplash -world=empty -skipintro "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXP ANSION;ca;@TCG"
Obviously, you need to change the password to match the password of the day :).
I also changed the icon on my shortcut to look like this:
http://farm6.static.flickr. com/5256/5402379974_c2bf45286 b_t.jpg
It's just one of the standard icons, so you too can do it. (Right click on the SHORTCUT, properties, select change Icon

Yeah, but the first half of the video (the verifying) is required if you did not run ArmA2 before you ran OA before, or have not done since, as this is what the BATCH file uses to find where all of the required files from A2 are. Which is why it worked for you, but for the likes of Rooter and Shady, it did not :)
Also, I used to use that icon for the 'games' folder on my desktop :P
EDIT: You'll know if it doesnt work. The command prompt window will pop-up and then dissapear quickly, and nothing else will happen. This means you need to do the first half of the video...

User opinion ^_^
Can I ask though, how you came to this conclusion that it installs crap on your comp that you cannot get off? I am yet to find / have such a problem, and have uninstalled and reinstalled it many times before....
I dont have anything against Yoma, its just that I can't be stuffed moving files around, and would probably overwrite the wrong one! :P tehe
