Python

Trying to play today and anytime recently I'm cycled on BluFor properly after playing OpFor and I find myself in the middle of something and being team swapped repeatedly, have people been forgetting team swapping for assets is against the rules or has this changed, it really does get frustrating.. It really does piss me off being bounched around when im trying to play properly and my game is ruined because of peoples douchebaggery..

I have noticed team stacking a week or so ago and it has stopped me playing, people would swap to the other team and suddenly you have one group severely handicapped.

people will generally swap away from insurgent teams, or to be on any USA side with choppers.
Not much can be done about it as it always been a small issue, just becoming a bigger one with the high number of insurgent maps.

You realised that the autobalance system eventually prevents you from changing teams if you're on the side with less players... right? You can't just swap whenever you like.
The teams generally get very unbalanced number-wise when one team is getting rolled and all the players keep leaving. Not because of z0mg teamswapping rats
Python, you generally shouldn't get auto-swapped more than once in a round (even that is fairly rare for me) because autobalance should pick the player that has been in the server for the least time (that isnt SL or CO).

Thankyou for highlighting this feature, I would have never guessed it from Pythons comment, this does not change the fact that it is possible to do such and has been done.

But with this server framework, there is always 1 more Blufor than Opfor which makes it really hard to get back onto your team.

The logic for selecting players for team swapping is:
- Player dies
- Script checks if there's balance issue
- If there's a balance issue, the player gets switched if he's not a bot, not SL and not commander

the main time there is an issue is the start of a round, when you can switch between the sides as long as the sides are even or the side you are swapping to has less players.
People loading quicker can, and do, take advantage of this and 'swap' so sometimes, loading slower, you will be switched at the start, though it is your turn on the other side.

That always happens :\ In pretty much any round-based video game, people are going to swap teams at end/start of rounds.
So Noddy, AD Framework picks any player (exc. SL/CO)? won't swap the most recent to join the server?

Not according to AD - the logic I provided was a direct quote from him last time I asked for some further qualification.

I stopped playing because of the ridiculous amount of team swapping and this was almost a year ago.
The only thing that got me through the insurgent maps was the promise of candy in the next round...
But the candy never came <=(

When a team is losing, some players feel the need to switch over to the other team because they are winners. Can the spawn time be increased for voluntary teamswitches towards the end of a round? (but not for autobalances)

One of the other server admins is developing a bit of python to name and shame people via a console message (hopefully in magenta) who teamswap. Once it is tested we will look at implementing (if allowed).
I always giggle to myself at the people who type 'teamswapped :(' onto the winning side when the teams are 32-31 - impossible.. Give yourselves an uppercut.
