What is a good Arma 2 / OA server?

Hi all,

I have enjoyed my PR games on BigD but i am keen to give Arma OA a go - i notice that BigD does not host an Arma server.

So where do i go?

Is ausarma dot org any good?

Both warfare and dom are evil... Custom missions are the ONLY way to enjoy the full potential of ArmA imho. But yes the AEF servers are the place to be, also jump on the AusArma TS, most of the blokes will be on there when playing, and you could also have a chance to jump into a custom game.

Dom is a good idea, the problem lies in the execution.

When rocking up to a town, it should not be garrisoned by 10 infantry and 350 tanks. Damn retards.

I've always wanted to do a remake of Dom but tone it down a bit so it is more realistic.

I Like Warfare When The params Are Good, Like The Other Night The Towns didn't Have Much Heavy Armour In Them Apart From The capitals And Once You Clash With Over Players Instead of Ai The Game Is On.

We Had Constant attacks From Players On The Other Team And manged To Defend Our Front Line Town Then Continue Pushing.

Makes It So much More Enjoyable PvP And 5 - 6 Peeps In TS Working Together

That was a lol round yesterday, when that M1A1 tusk rolled into our town we didnt runaway, all 5 of us loaded our rpg7vl's and matis launchers and chased after him, after a few more battles in that town i ended up being the only one left to defend it for 20 minutes until buzzard, elmo, boost, nakooma, devils made it back, the end of the round was annoying though, waiting at the southern airstrip for air 3 to be upgraded so i could buy my SU-25, took out a stryker driving down the runway with a metis then a few minutes later the server crashed :( didnt get to spend my $70,000 after saving all round

its funny i used to love warfare in arma1 and i remember playing evo/domo with wolf etc for something like 8 hours in one go and loving it. Makes you wonder what changed in A2+.

I usually hit up the Insurgency servers. Keen because of the new system to get into some serious planned events.

So point me in the right direction please in regards to mods and that.
Running the Arma 2 launcher so there's no issue loading them I just need to know what ones are needed.

Got Invasion 1944 and CBA for OA,Arma 2 and CO. :)

Spook mate keep an eye over at AusArma www.ausarma.org any large community games will be promoted there. Or you can just jump on the AusArma TS where AEF CTB, AAF and XDF (+ some other smaller clans and alot of pub players) go to hang out. If you get ACE, ACEX, and ACRE (+ other mods we might feel like at the time) then jump in the ts and see if we (AEF CTB) are having a game, youd be welcome to join, same goes for anyone else.
