That isnt the 1.60 patch, its the 1.60RC which will be changed slighly and rereleased sometime soon, as the actual retail/steam patch.

Is this still a BETA patch or has it been made offical? If still a BETA, can you still run on severs with 1.59 or will you be kicked?

You cannot ever join 1.59 servers after installing this 1.60RC patch. Once the final version is public, steam users will get it automatically and it will be avilable for download to patch 1.59 or 1.60RC users to 1.60.

its semi offical, its pretty much what will be released and most servers are being updated with 1.60RC. PR included iirc. also steam uses can install the 1.60RC patch without any issue, will jsut be over written when the final comes out.

if you read previous posts, once you install 1.60, you wont be able to join any server running 1.59..

PR servers are 1.60rc, but some coop servers are still 1.59.

This forum currently wont let me link to the PR forum post but one of the Beta Testers advises:"You should no longer need the new beta .exe, the original praa.exe should work with 1.6."

FYI.
The PR TG server has had about 60 players the last couple of days at the peak-time slot around 2000 GMT (0600hrs QLD) if anyone is keen. This is likely as a result of the Arma 2 1.60 patch. The population has still been significant approaching 1000hrs etc.
http://arma2.swec.se/server/data/139676

The 1.60 has meant no noticeable rubber-banding or lag, even with pings of 250 etc. The TG server crashes every now and then but hopefully that will even out when client-versions start settling etc.

Hope to see some of you there. Played with some of you today.

Will be good to also get something going on the AEF/BigD server some time during Oz-friendly evening slots.

Got back into ARMA 2 after playing BF3 for a while, what was I thinking! New 1.6 patch is awesome!
I don't seem to see many BigD players in ARMA 2 however, where are you all playing at & what is your nick?

I've been playing the game long enough now, but just how do you get your hellfire or Russian equivalent missiles to guide manually to targets like in PR (ie; where you click is where it goes). The only way i can fire is by TABing or right clicking. For example, If im trying to target a random house or hanger...

Anyone?

Rhodesy_77

in vanilla you cant, its tab lock. with mando missles you can do exactly that.
