hi all was just wondering if some one could help me out with an issue im having.. or point me to a thread that could help me for i couldnt find one. im getting a lame fps count of around 30 with my new system running the same video options as my older pc on arma plus every now and then i get screen flickering..im thinking it has something to do with my sli setup and i know for a fact it should be much better than my old pc, for an idea here are my stats
gigabyte P67A-UD7-B3 motherboard
intel core 2600k oc to 4.40ghz
dual Nvidia geforce gtx 570s (mild overclock)
16 gig of kingston ram (4x4 @ 1333Mhz)
900w psu
+ all drivers are up to date
also like to add that its the steam version of the game and a ssd for it is in the budget and i primarily play the warfare mod. thanks in advance for your time guys

What res & what settings are you running? Do a screen post of you ARMA 2 settings.
30 FPS is fairly decent, ARMA 2 doesn't need a massive amount of FPS and anything over 30 is decent. What refresh rate are you running at?
Turn post-processing off, that'll save you 10 - 20 FPS & most run with it off.
What was your old system, resolution & settings?

pretty much had both pcs running identical stats, ill just give you the basic lay out
texture detail: very high
video mem: default
AF: very high
AA: very high
terrain: normal
objects: high
shadow: normal
HDR: high
PPE: disabled
Aspect: 16:9
vsync: disabled
on 5000 veiw distance,
interface: 1920x1080
3d: 1920x1080
these resolutions are also both pcs standard settings
but with my old pc the fps sits around 50 fps all the way to 80 some times, can drop down to around 30 but still runs smooth as silk, no screen flicker, no tearing, no stuttering, etc etc. and for that pcs specs
mother board: asus maximus IV extreme-z
intel core 2600k oc to 4.20ghz
16 gig of kingston ram (4x4 @ 1333Mhz)
Nvidia geforce gtx 570
750w psu
+ all drivers up to date
need anything else feel free to ask

Those two are heavy on fps, also have a look at the new config changable filters from Atoc down http://community.bistudio.c om/wiki/arma2.cfg
Explained HERE (http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?12320 3-ArmA-2-OA-Beta-Build-83363&p=1998153&viewfull=1#post19981 53)
