Well we had our first training night and while I know some people jack arsed around a bit myself included I also know allot of people came out with a better understanding of tactic's. They only problem's were a few peoples lack of knowledge of the rules witch is fair enough and my continuing in abilities to get auto balance to turn the hell off. Other than that it was a good 2 hours and we will have another soon with a little more advertising and better training all round hopefully the new patch will also be out and more to learn.

This post is still under construction I'll put up some random screen shots I took and remember the server had battle recorded turned on so you can watch the high jinx's later there. I also learnt something special tonight other than I should be a teacher and that I need to calm down, you can actually put rally points in the middle of the air too bad you can't spawn on them.

Another thing to note is myself Desavage Ruff_Justice and a number of other players who names slip my mind have officially come to the conclusion theres something very wrong with the blackhawk it unquestionable goes out of control when your piloting with people abroad.

Just wanted to say members of the squad '(ST) ADV' did an exelent job working as a team tonight (that is us in the top screenshot) we covered formations, fireteams, suppressing fire, use of smoke, scouting, and the fighting retreat.

Next time we need to get all the SLs on TS and coordinate some opposing forces for each training squad as it gets a bit boring assaulting an empty town over and over again.

All in all a good night and a perfect use of a members night. Thanks to VisOne for the exelent admin skills and the screenshots. I hope all my squad members had fun and learnt something new.

Big ups to wolf for his work!

Does battle recorder record VoIP too? If so, we should get a copy of Wolf for the voice and myself for the perspective of looking at wolf and put the video up somewhere for all to look at.

I think there is a way for voip to be recorded, it a seperate downlaod or something that has to be when converting the file to an avi or mpeg.

VisOne asked not long ago and AncientMan found the link to the totalBF2 forums that showed how to do it all.

Sorry i did not keep the link

No, no VOIP. You can only get the ingame audio (gun fire, explosions, etc.)

Hmm ask Photoshop he gets all his Voip he use's FRAPS doesn't he?

I get my VOIP because I FRAPS gameplay from a live game in first-person view, not from FRAPSing BattleRecorder.

Currently there is no way to download voice comms after a round.

Additionally, if you want to hear yourself as well as your squad mates, you have to make sure that your microphone is not muted in Volume Control.

That explains why you can never hear my on any recordings my pc hates mics and always mutes them they still work in game just its evil like that.

They're supposed to be muted. This means that you will not transmit any sound coming from your PC over VOIP.

If you unmute, your voice will be illegible as bullets and explosions will overpower it. Thus, you cannot record this kind of stuff without a headset.

As an additional note, Battlefield 2 automatically re-mutes your microphone when a level loads. The only way to make sure it stays off is to Alt+Tab when loading is finished, uncheck mute, then tab back into the game.

Damn that looks fun, wish I could be there :(.
If I could only imagine how good Sunday member night must be even when the public servers are fun to play.

Yes. Point is, if you want FRAPS to recognise your voice plus everyone elses, you need to do as above.

Don't forget squad "Yarrr!" its always fun watching disorganised pirates raid a USMC carrier!

And then being used as target practice by the people still on it!

However I would have liked if there were a few more squads doing training. I was waiting for a spot in a squad doing actual training but they were all full so I didn't manage to learn anything at all apart from how to raid carriers!
