this was shown to me by an american PR player , i was always hoping something similar found it's way into PR.

purpose : to increase the effectiveness of the support/gunner at longer ranges were the spot commands wont work and enemies are hard to see.

what you will need : 1 spotter equipped with binocs , 1 support gunner ready to kick ass and take names , a good (preferably a elevated position) setup point with clear sight of enemy areas and a good useage of the minimap (specifically the compass) . also note that you and your spotter will have to be facing the same direction and be relatively close to eachother.

how it's done (from what i understood) : when your spotter ...well spots a enemy or more importantly a group of enemies , if the enemy spotted command doesnt register due to the range , you tell your spotter to look at the compass and say something like " WEST + 2" , by which you will mean , +2 notches from west , or "WEST - 2" . your gunner can then adjust to that notch and proceed to cover that section with fire.

like i said before , it works best if your in an elevated position overlooking the enemies.

Not to mention that the support gunner has to have the rotating minimap turned on.
I don't have it turned on because it really messes with my ability to call out directions.

If you have it on rotate you really need to look up and and check which letter you're looking at on the compass to give off a direction, which takes a bit longer. If its not on rotate you can look up and quickly see which direction you're facing and give of a SW or NW which is alot easier and quicker if you're thinking about multiple things at once.

There's no dot too small that I won't give a little "hosing" for good luck (so long as the radar says it's a bandit..)

Yeah, as daveee said. North is always constant, so all I have to do is check the minimap and look at what direction my little player arrow is facing. It speeds up the process because you don't have to read any letters and think about it.
