Post all your tactics to kill a tank here. I'll compile them into one neat package for re-sale later :D

Engineer Assault.
Requirements; Balls of steel, reliable team-mate, Satchel charges and Mines.
Kits; Engineer (you) and Rifleman (team-mate)

Ok This tactic is a simple one. You assault a tank. Yeah, sounds crazy but there's more too it than that. Start as close as possible to the tank. In the urban maps this is simple because the constant twisting and turning streets severly limit line of sight. When you are as close as possible, get your rifleman to have his smoke grenades ready, DO NOT THROW THEM YET. The engineer then needs to get as close as possible to the tank. The second the turret starts turning to the engineer, the rifleman pops smoke in front of the tank to distract it OR inbetween the tank and Engineer to obscure him from sight. Dont smoke the tank, it will make the driver move his tank and that is very bad for the next part. Once close enough, and assuming the tank isn't moving, plant a satchel charge on its rear underside. Then, crawl as far as possible under the tank and throw a mine out. Finally, get the rifleman to throw smoke while you run like hell. Once a suitable distance from the tank, blow the satchel charge. The momentum caused by the charge will detonate the mine and Viola! Dead tank. If, for some inane reason the tanker gets out, blow the C4 anyway, chances are you'll nail him as he tries to remove the mine and Viola! Empty tank (assuming he's solo-ing). If he's multicrewing, wait for the second crewman to get out and remove the mines (he has to otherwise he dies remember?). Then mow him down with your weapons that are now covering the tank.

Repeat as needed with the rifleman re-arming you. This is a good plan because if it is a multi-crewing tank, to get the other member they will need to spawn at an APC or the main to grab the crewman kit. If its not a multicrewing tank, then the tank is either dead or empty

I managed to do this to both K|2um and Fallenplate last night, it does work but it isn't easy.

This tactic does work. But again you have to get someone who is willing to have a really poor score (which everyone seems to be focused on in PR now) to work with you.

You can always do it solo like I was, but it adds an extra challenge to the game, "Can I sneak up on |2Rum with my engineer kit or will I get blasted??". You are right though, you need someone willing too endure a crap score. If you play with a clan or with the Bigdy regular, most of them dont have a problem doing this

There is no greater glory than finishing a round with a 'score' in single figures and a heart filled with joy at the thought of a job well done.

Remember - faith is your shield and success is measured in blood; yours or your enemies.

I do it solo I sneak up behind or anywhere in the back 180 degrees of the turret drop my mines one in front one behind and leg it while I giggle like a school girl.

The idea of crawling under an occupied tank, dropping a mine and then wriggling back out fills me with visions of the engineer forming the shaped charge liner in a very messy meat-HEAT round...
