...GSA, Uncle Darth, the Admins and the Community in general. :D

Ok Darth (and Jim) commented that there's been a lot of negative stuff in the forums lately and that got me reflecting and thinking.

Yes, small, annoying things may happen once or twice a game - and unfortunately they tend to be more memorable and you bitch about them - but 4/5 times it's a enjoyable, challenging round and you gg everyone.

I read the reality mod forums a bit, and yes, there are smacktards and n00bs everywhere and people the world over bitch about it, however, here at BigD-GSA we have a tight knit, friendly community - and an extremely low smacktard level compared to what the UK/US/European servers seem to have - and I am really grateful for it.
I've read stories at the reality mod forums of such-and-such-a-tard doing a stupid thing, and I think "wow..that wouldn't happen on the server I play on!" and it's because we've got a cool community with dedicated admins.

Yeah...so thank you ^^

I think I speak for the whole Bigdy team when I say thank you its the comments like these that let us know that were actually doing some real good.

Take some time out to play on the Texas, Thor's Brigade and TacticalGamer servers (or at least the ones you don't get ping-kicked from) to see just how BigD compares with the other big-name PR servers worldwide. You'd be surprised at just how little coordination and communication there is over there.

Even with the occasional gameplay and player related crap, BigD is still one of the best.

Yep we do have it good here at bigD. Some of the overseas servers are a bit of a joke. I got kicked off one for chat spamming insurgent insults. And others have very little VOIP comms, and even less stratigical gameplay. I get saddened a bit seeing DEV guys tring to play our server but getting kicked for high ping. I know they would love the server, as i'm pretty sure we play PR like it was meant to be played.

People always whinge. Especially on the net. Negativity is everywhere. I'm fine with it but. If i can put up with my g/f's whinging i can put up with anything.

Yeah big thanks to all involved in making this a great place to hang out and play games.

Charger is right about those devs, it would be nice to see them able to play on BigD. TBH, ping makes little difference to the running of a server, so a few of them pinging in the high hundreds will be fine IMO.

Maybe the ping kicker should be loosened a touch.

It makes no sense to disallow local gamers the chance to play on the Bigdy server so international players can with a ping of 300 or over the current auto kick you cannot have a reasonable gaming experience.

Lolo

Is the ping kicker set at 300?

Agreed robbie,
I just finished talking about this to.................. .............someone  ,
If you read the mod forums it sounds like there's a world full of smacktards and smacktard servers.
I thank the heaven's above (and the admins above) that we really do have a great place to game. :D
It really should be respected and appreciated.

Like I have said before, there will always be idiots out there,
but one of the great things about bigD is that when they come to bigD they don't last long,
our friendly admins are usually online and are quick to deal with them after they've been spotted or pointed out.
bigD is our "free from smacktard" safe haven.
(remember.....newbie s aren't smacktards, they are just newbies)
GREAT STUFF ADMIN. KEEP IT UP.

I concur. Goes to show that people in the Oceania know how to play and have a good time.

Yeah, thanks guys.

This is the only online community where I've even bothered to remember names in. And the support you get as a newer gamer has always been great.
Cheers boys.

Hmm indeed! You know that the [uMc] guys had a PR server for a while? I noticed a few of them getting nicer towards the end but I haven't seen any of them for quite some time now.

It's good to see more Sila, TEA and other clans playing on the servers too.

I agree with all the above posts thanks guys you have given us a new hope for the future of smacktard free mature gaming. Let this beacon of light shine into the wilderness that is the internet. :D :D

This makes me sad...

"Alright, I've had enough, after returning to my helipad to rearm and finding 3 friendly Humvees at pigfarm firing on me so they could shoot me down and get the chopper was ridiculous. This occurred on the GSA server, frankly, when TG is down there is little left in my ping range aside from the Australian servers, which are full of vBF2 tards."

It was posted on the www.realitymod.com forums. It bugs me, because I really feel like we have a great community, with very few vanilla style "n00bs"

Its inevitable that posts like this will happen. It would have been nice to see the original poster come to our forums and fill out a complaint but that seems to hard for some people.

Also see how quickly the thread gets derailed, this is why we encourage people to send us an email in regards to the behaviour of a player.

With no names its impossible to take any action against the players involved.

I wanted to say that from my perspective (a PR noob) you guys at BigD have done a great job organising this community. It is definitely the best gaming experience i've ever had and it's plain to see that the popularity of the servers and the forum is directly related to the effort that you guys are putting in. Thanks BigD & keep it up!
