View Full Version : Jabal this evening - Fun and Annoying. More fun though!

Hi guys,
Just played a round of Jabal in which I swapped sides after we gave them a pummeling in the previous round. It was fun, but there was someone in a MEC APC spawn camping the carrier preventing the choppers from lifting off.
Now, I'm not asking anyone to name names, but if you do know who it was, I hope they felt shamed at their actions, because there was a lot of regulars on that side and I would've thought that given the discussion previously, this sort of stuff wouldn't happen again.
It was a great round though, with the highlight for me being GenElectrik lining up an APC with a H-AT round whilst perched on the skid of a littlebird at 200 meters.
Shame on the chap who decided to pepper the Essex with APC fire.
Hats off to GenElectrik and ReconAus for turning my littlebird into a crazy gunship full of fun and destruction.

Grr, I would have been there to stop that but for some stupid reason, I appear to be capped even though there is no possible way that I could be. I keep getting disconnected due to packet loss.
Stupid telstra.. >.>
I will jihad them one of these days. (well, as soon as my jihad car respawns from my last bombing run)

Yeah I was leading the main squad in that round (only about 9 people on the team) and I know who it was. I won't name names however he was told off when he complained that there were no more targets to rape and I realized what he was up to. Unfortuanately he was not following orders that round as he was on the south side of the mountains (in the water) don't ask me how he got there, instead of actually helping the squad take the bridge.
BTW that was bulletmagnet who killed every single heli/boat/APC that you sent to west beach. Until you bastards took up that hill top position and hit us with the light AT barrage.
You know who you are in future try to stick with your squad and follow orders. And attacking the carrier when there is other points to be taken is not on.

I wasn't playing...so out of curiousity - how do you camp the carrier on that map? Isn't it too far away if you're on land and the angle too steep once you get into view distance for the gun from the water? I haven't even considered the latter.
But yeah..that's completely uncool of said person.

Its easy enough sitting about half way from the shore and using the zoom on the apc's gun will give you a good enough area of attack to do something so cowardly, especially is they have good view distance.

Yeah, I guessed it was Bulletmagnet. That last time we came over, we just wanted to mingle and have a bit of fun! You shot us down in cold blood! :D
We gave it a red hot go, I think I was the only regular on that side so it was fun to try and crack you guys. The other squad just wasn't keen on flying Aphexair, unfortunately. I saw plenty of rolled Littlebirds and Blackhawk wrecks around the carrier too, so perhaps I should run a small flying school one day.
Anyway, cheers Capt Wolf, much appreciated.

If I remember correctly, Carriers are uncappable. According to our rules this means that nobody, not even a soldier, is allowed to attack people or vehicles on the carrier.
Can I suggest that this player be placed on the 'Players to watch out for' list without a ban so that those of us who dont know his name can watch for repeat behaviour.
P.S. You are such a chopper whore Aphex

+1 to the Watch List.
As for my chopper whore status? Weeeell, lets just say that the greatest reward a transport pilot can get is seeing his cargo dropped safely whereever they want.

I have to admit that I'm a bit of a chopper whore myself. My only problem is that I'm rarely quick enough to beat all you other guys to them.

Come on guys, I really don't care who it was, but if you were serious about fixing the behaviour of recent times send a PM to Daveee. Hell, they can take a private holiday for all I care and not be added to the Watch List.

nazis tend to congregate in and around "Young Liberals" conventions...
not particularly super... and barely men... but they could try there for a start
