re: server 1 this evening.
Teamwork was a four letter word. On Kashan desert, my US team may well have just been playing vanilla because it just became a rush to one attack marker to the other. The MEC steamrolled us very well, but I daresay it would've been a much closer match has the majority of the US discovered that sometimes, defence is just as good as attacking.
Ridiculous.
Apologies to all the guys in my squad who were forced to play the infantry game despite overwhelming odds. We put up a decent fight, I think, but in the end our own team was our worst enemy.
So, in conclusion...
...please understand that the 'D' marker is there for as much reason as the 'A' marker. Learn it, understand it, fear it when it points to your main base.

These things happen because there's either no commander telling certain squads to defend or no communication between the squad leaders.

has anyone had the problem in the a-10,where at low levels firing the rockets and canons at the same time at targets on the ground can lag you out right at the worst time and you bounce off the ground and park the thing in an enemy tank.
or is it just my ****ty flying :)
(found a way to take out Lucid in a tank, and look like a d!ck at the same time-multi tasking)
sorry aphex....
edit-guess who didn't shut down their background tasks.....

Ah Bahlye it wasn't you! At least we were having a crack. Lucid's comments were out of line for an admin.
We did have a commander, but the squads were not listening to him, he was quite new and I spent a bit of time trying to help him work out what to do.

I get rather testy when people use important assets and crash them into me, especially after surviving several tank waves and a previous a-10 attack only to die from a hulking steel beast falling from the sky onto my armoured hull....

It was more of an indiscriminate, rage induced vent than anything.

Oh did I miss Lucid losing the plot??? DAMMIT I always miss the good stuff!
Anyway, I know what you mean Aphex, the trouble is most of the people who will read your post and indeed our forums already know that there is a time for defending and a time for attacking, It's the people who don't bother to be a part of the community and will never read posts such as yours that make it hard for us all.

Heheh, the thing was, my squad were trying to second guess the enemy, so we went back to the Outpost to fortify it before the surging MEC forces got there. We put up a good fight, but the numbers were overwhelming. In a selfless act (8)), I called for Bahlye to flatten the area with the slim hope of wiping the enemy out and leaving us to clean up.
It never eventuated, but the anticipation of the coming assault was awesome. My guys put up and excellent fight and although we succumbed in the end, I think we held them up long enough.

Losing the plot? Hardly. It wasn't nearly as spectacular as youd've hoped. I'll quote my self shall I?
