ET:QW Comes out on the 28th of september and the demo comes out tomorrow at 9a.m, so who will be downloading the demo? Ill be getting it soon as its released. Anyone want to team up with me and get some teamwork happening with the demo?

The game feels like et, but kinda plays like 2142. but with organised chaos

definately need a gunner in the flyers, tried piloting but keep getting shot down.

Yeh gotta come into TS when you play guys, me and razor were having a ball playing, organising our defensive turrents and stuff... Teamwork can shine in this, because its objective based, but for new people you can be constantly shot from some random place if you don't look at your map, because nearby enemys show up, and everything is all over your screen so trying to understand everything is a bitch as well... Anyways, after playing it for the arvo, and finally coming first :) , I really like it, although it can be spammy and is definitely unrealistic...

Just came out of my first game with an incredibly negative feeling towards it. I dont think I'll be buying it. I have no idea what the hell is going on, and I don't think i can really be arsed to learn the game after spending years with the Battlefields. The constant back-and-forth tug-o-war of objectives really annoys me.

I you like the quake jumpy spamy shooty strafey style then you'll love it other wise it's retarded much worse than nilla BF2. For instance I spent a whole round firing gigantic missiles (practically nukes) into the enemy base racking up kills from the hordes of guys that spawned in every 15 seconds, from just sitting on a hill ages away. And there was just one of me, imagine if about 6 of us did it at the same time.

Hey then again someone might make a mod that takes the tiny respawn and stupidly huge weapons out and makes it playable. :disgust:

I like it, expecialy when you have someone to work with. When me and Ancient where strogg the GDF never even made it to are contamination thingo.

I've had a couple of games with 3 other people on the server and its not all bad. I like the map and the objectives, its a lot like pr's aas and is much better than BF2s flag cap nonsense.

As with PR I wish it could have an infantry only option. I had some fun on that second bridge running from barricades to car wrecks before blasting soldiers with my support gun.

It seems that my poor PC cant handle single player though. Even on minimal graphics settings I was getting a poor frame rate. 4 of us on a server was OK but im not sure how my machine would deal with 16 players or more.

Maybe I wasn't using them right but the GDF flyers seemed a bit slow. Is there an excelerate button or do I just dip the nose to move forward?

The most annoying thing is that they have actually programed the bots to bunny hop.

Well, I tried playing on a full 24 player server and lasted about 3 minutes due to lag. I hate my computer or punkbuster or whatever the hell is causing my choppy frame rate.

yeah i gave it a crack - not too impressed. I can see that lots of people would like it, and i reckon it will be popular, but the genre really isnt my cup of tea..

Just had a crack, was loving it once I had figured out what to do.
You can go faster with the aircraft by using the boost (sprint).
The bots are great, they even stand over you stabbing you sometimes after they've killed you.

Played it with Razor bout an hour and a half ago. We owned it with the plasma cannons and stuff. Lots of fun. Still spammy but more fun :)

It only takes a few hours to know what you are doing, and it definitely is more fun when you do. So for those who hated it, give it another go.

This game is ................ well its just the bloody new UT which surprise surprise I didn't really like either. I feel you owe me 14mins of download and my life back Razor :tease:

Remember we've only got one map of this so far, so the full game would be a bit more interesting with new maps and what not.

I like how the arty works. No reliance on anyone else. Just plop it down run out and start spotting.

Plus the little camera drone, thats awesome! Fly around with a remote control hovering bug thingy that explodes when you left click.

That stabbing the dead bodies thing. turns the enemies bodies into a spawn point that can only be used once, by anyone on your team. i think.

For the life of me I can't figure out how to disguise myself as the opposite team.
Is it an unlock?

Use the hacking tool the snipers or whatever they are called get on the dead body. However, when you try to fire, you go back to normal.

Was called a C-t TWICE on ET:QW's tonight.
Mainly because of the fact that when I play I am. Especially at beer o'clock on friday. The game is so easy though, and the competition is weak.

If anyone still plays the demo, I run around with a mate as B-bop (or B-bop Jones) and Rockstedy. And I'm always stuck on the strogg side and am an unashamed Infiltrator whore.

Beware the Psi-Radar, hover drone combo.
