looks like you gotta either alter the bf2 shortcut as described,put the bf2 default path in(step 5),then the mod path/your name/password(step4).

But try starting it from in game ,start bf2,community page,activate bfp2.
Let us know how u go then I won't have to set the short cut.....if starting in game works...

Look, if you're after reality, you wont find it here, I mean, the other team is the Undead for crying out loud, but for swash-buckling bucaneering and a fun match, its a good change from PR. Also, I'm willing to try this while drunk. Drunken fragging on that would be awesome

Vis could see ALL,I couldn't see the stairs in the lighthouse,beunohead couldn't see the castle wall but I didn't notice anything missing...
Do they mean ALL vid settings on med ,or we just crank up the geometry?.
What settings were u on Vis?.

Geometry needs t be on medium or high. I had it like that and had no problems what-so-ever.

@Cynical; All but one map works apparently but I dont think Zombie mode works. Also, Lucid and I got a CTD when we loaded up another map, cant remember the name of it

Has the Pirates server crashed? The server list shows it has 16 players but there is no detail of who they are and the server won't show up in game (IP or name)?

Hmmm,

Well I use this link: http://www.gamingsa.com/?p=servers and it shows the same 16 players in the dead calm map for the past 24 hours. When I try to find the server using the in-game browser I get nada. Searching by IP address same, nada.

For those that ctd, your geometry has to be on medium or higher. It's a known issue.

It'd be worth a shot. Try fiddling with your texture settings as well. Hell, just throw everything on medium and see if it works then.

One other thing to check chaps is the Audio, make sure you have 'English Only' unchecked in the Audio options. Causes CTD otherwise (well it did for me anyway).

GSA-Pirates server was up @ around 8 PM last night, but then unavailable for the rest of the night (until 2 AM anyway :( ).

Nah Lucid, I got mine working perfectly on medium then it started CTD'ing again - now I cannot even load into the game!
