well that sucks, I remember reading something a few weeks back about the insurgents in Iraq actually intentionally trying to get drivers to roll the LAV's. Using different methods such as driving at them head one with cars without head lights and what not forcing our men to make sharp turns to miss them. However in this case I guess its just more a question of shootie commanding or a bad decision on the drivers part as to where he should and shouldn't go.

it looks like it was right down the side of the bank
and im guessing it was the aussys beacue of the last picture

The camo pattern on the ASLAV is also distinctly aussie =P

bet the driver is still having to buy beers for everybody

...and I'll bet that the embankment gave way under the vehicle so the driver wasn't at fault. The reason he was so close to the hard packed edge of the embankment is because the likelyhood of mines and IED's on the softer side is much higher.
He'll still have to buy the beers though!

I'm going to agree with Bammo here, it looks like the embankment collapsed under the LAV. 3rd pic has a debris pile at the base of the embankment

Least he didn't roll it, because that would have sucked beyond compare.

Looks like Al Basrah with that white van in the background driving for Allah! Either that or their version of an icecream truck coming to offer refreshments.
