Hello it's me Flanker who used to play PR until .6 when I went off to do other things. I'm just wondering how the community is going and if I should come back and play PR some more? I started getting a craving for PR after not playing it for a few months, are there still lots of good players on the BigD server? Also has the netcode been improved because one of the problems I had was I got much worse net performance on PR after .6?

Hey mate wb. The community is in a little bit of a rut at the moment, things aren't going so well. By all means though come back in, we've got some good nights planned ahead hopefully.

As for performance, yes it has been slightly improved, however hit-reg is still iffy , some nights it's great, others it just refuses to play along.

Chicken still plays on occasion as does Photo although the later of two most often is off doing what it is that he does when hes not playing PR. :P

Dont mean to burst ya bubble squirt, but I dont play anymore :( lost the last bird I was with over PR. So I ended up throwing BF 2 and removing everything to do with PR out the window :(
I now am selling COD 4 today because Im getting way to addicted to it and yeah NO GAMEs he he... :( oh ****...
But from what I hear theres skilled SLs out there like Icehollowpoint and Guranch and Chick now so get your ass with one of them and youl be right. :) all the best mate.

Aus My missus soon to be wife hates PR too cause I talk to these guys more than I do her hahahaa... She still gonna let me get a new puter to play it though... It's all about moderation let them get and do what they want and then you should be able to also... but yeah they are attention hungry little monsters.


Flanker just have a couple of games over a couple of days play with a few different players and see what you think...

Fair call mate but Aussie is hardly out of high school and it really seems a little silly to drop what you like doing for one girl, and like you said love is a two way street not 1 way with two car's on it. I have always hated people trying to shape me and force me to drop the things I like doing because they don't like it. Maybe I'm projecting on Aussie but like I mentioned earlier hes young and should be having fun not throwing it away for a single piece of tail.

I'm still around, playing when I can. It kinda died off for me because of Uni the last couple of month and when I tried on Monday night, PR cracked the ****s with me (CTD which hasn't happened in ages). I'm more of a keyboard warrior now but hopefully I can fix my problem.

I reinstalled it and gave it a whirl today. I haven't played in a bit so I'm a bit rusty especially in the diving the apc into a trench area. Then the server crashed but I'll come back when I find my mic!

Na mate a few problems of late,
Server 2 is now running with 2142cc and this is a much more stable server control system to work with.
So we need to give server 2 a good thrashing,
See if it holds up better than server 1
If it does server 1 will be swapped over to 2142cc and bob's your uncle......

Well... as per the imminent release of 0.65 and the server crashes, numbers are considerably down as of late, and to see 40/64 is excellent, so anything over ~20 players is a gift.

It was pretty good, once server stability is improved it should be much better. Only problem I had was the lack of squad leaders while I was playing, I got into a squad a couple of times but eventually I had to be the squad leader which I'm not very good at.... So there is a new version coming out soon that should be good.

More like a extended patch doesn't appear to be a great deal of NEW content more bug fix's and what not to try us over till version 7.0 in the new year.

Yeah SL's tend to be a rare breed and more often than not people tend to group to one SL, or someone starts a squad and then leaves and joins and no one notices.
Depending on the numbers try and join the first squad in pos 4 or 5 or join a squad with one of the regulars, safe bet they wont swap out.
Saturday saw a huge number of first time or weekend warriors and so it does get a little messy at times.
As for the new Version, well the intermediate patch might not be all bells and whistles but in the new year with.07 be prepared to relearn a few things is all I can say..
