Project Aus 5.0

Clan History
Project Aus is one of the leading clans in Australia. Since February 2005, we have been gaining experience and
popularity as a clan. Originally a Halo 2 clan on Xbox, and now a multi-gaming PC clan, we have experience in
several fields of gaming. We strive to represent our clan and our country to others with respect and dignity.
The way in which you play in this clan is entirely up to you; you can be a serious gamer, or a casual gamer.
As long as you are friendly and participate, then we are ready to take you on board. We recruit people of all ages. We also have our own Ventrilo server, which we use to communicate with each other.

Joining the Clan
Boot Camp is a system implemented to prevent randomly joining players. Project Aus only wants players wearing the
[PAus] tag if they follow the guidelines set out within the clan, and if they participate. Therefore, to ensure that
this happens, new members are entered into Boot Camp whereby, they are in the clan but cannot wear the tag until
they have proven themselves. By using our Ventrilo server when they play, they can make themselves known and quickly
get through Boot Camp. Ventrilo is mandatory for all Project Aus members. Whether you are looking for a friendly clan
that wants to have fun, or you are looking for a serious clan that will win tournaments, Project Aus is for you.

On your application, please name this site in the 'referral' box, as well as me.

For more information on joining, please visit the Recruitment FAQ and Form at http://projectaus.com/showthread.php?tid=3 .

Servers
Project Aus is now sponsored by Exsite Gaming Network (http://exsitegaming.net/). We therefore have our own Call of Duty 4 server. The server details are as follows, feel free to hop in and play with us:

Name: Project Aus HQ - Sponsored by Exsite Gaming!
IP: 119.31.234.22
Port: 28960

We also have our own Ventrilo server, for voice communication. Jump in and have a chat:

IP: 144.140.155.144
Port: 3475
Password: ausproject

You can find help here (http://projectaus.com/showthread.php?tid=6 59) on getting Ventrilo working.

Project Aus, being a multi gaming clan is open to each and every game if you can get enough players to start a division or even a sub-division then it's welcome in Project Aus. We don't discriminate against games!

So you should definately consider joining Project Aus.

We hope to see you on the battlefield, fighting for us, soon!

Well organised mob, this lot.....

Love to see [PAus] get enough numbers to play in the ladder scrim....

Just tell all your BF2 players that that game has been superseded by the kings of all mods... - ....the mighty PR!!

Train them up in a few pub maches, and she'll be right as rain....

Gday Anuzolo.

Are you guys looking to move into PR?
We offer a server that can be booked for use to help introduce clan members into PR in a more controlled, stress free environment.
You can make a booking here if you are interested (http://www.bigdgaming.net/forumdisplay.php?f=1 08)

So are you guys actually forming a PR division?

As Charger said get your BF2 division to try PR. That is where 95% of this community came from we used to play BF2 until we realised there was something so much better.

Would be great to see you guys in the 10 vs. 10 PR ladder.

Not so much JUST PR. Most of the BF2 members (those that are left) have PR as far as I know, but yes, if we could get enough consistant scrimming members then we'd gladly get involved.

The reason that we are no longer participating in the GameArena ladders is because we had 20 or so enrolled to play in scrims and still not enough would turn up, which is dissapointing considering I was the one who went through each of the maps and made a skeleton of tactics :P

But yeah, it's not all seriousness within Project Aus, we love to just mess around, create servers and have sniper fights or large scale knife servers (of course unranked).

Hey welcome to bigD.

It would be great to see the Project Aus guys playing PR with bigD.

bigD PR takes a little maturity and some COMMON SENSE (http://www.bigdgaming.net/showthread.php?t=246 4) also there are a few basic SERVER RULES (http://www.bigdgaming.net/rules/)

Look forward to seeing you all on the battlefield.

Gday guys, been a while.

Just thought I'd touch base with all of our posts, update them etc.

I'm now the 2nd in Charge for Project Aus, and a few huge changes have taken place! Read above!

Unfortunately, we lost alot of our BF2 members from a certain event with -=Gen=- ask if you dare! :P

Apologies for the random drop in, but if I were to have these posts laying around, they need to be up to date :)

oooo just had a look around and turns out this clan is gone

Hey,
It's been a long time coming and today, Monday December 15th, Project Aus has decided to shut its doors.

I have made an executive decision that there is no way to repair the clan and there are not enough people willing to put in the effort to revive it. At this point in time, there is no real reason to continue the charade and so Project Aus will discontinue as an organised group immediately.

For the first time in a long time I am able to do a full sweep of the server and give it a good clean out, so nearly everything on the projectaus.com domain will be inaccessible bar this page.

If you wish to access any documents, images, or anything from the forums, please dont hesitate to ask as I will keep a full backup of the server.

The projectaus.com domain name will expire in August 2009 and so i will be keeping the site for personal uses (considering I have been the only one who has ever paid for this domain and the web server), but this placeholder will remain until the domain expires next year. At that point (unless future events change this decision) I will not be renewing the domain, and it will be up for grabs to anyone willing to purchase it.

We had a good run, a lot of ups and downs, and these past (almost) 6 years have taught me so much. So many names and voices will never be forgotten and have taught me great lessons, and I only hope that those that still frequent the website do not lose touch with me.

Looking for Talented Writers

I am also getting a small group of gaming enthusiasts for a new website. If you think you have what it takes, send me an article; doesn't have to be a review, just write an article in relation to gaming. Send it to me via email and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. I am also looking for anybody with scripting, design or AV skills.

We're here for a good time, not a long time. Our time has come and gone. If you're wondering where to go at this point, I would suggest ApB. They are a great crew mainly made up of people from Project Aus who hated XtehseA (ironically containing one admin who is pretty much the reincarnation of xtehsea, minus the computer knowledge or any understanding of the term 'logic'. But just ignore that, since every clan has to have at least one douchebag admin). I wouldn't suggest going to those MoH guys, Nero is actually a known hacker and exploiter.

It doesn't bother me if you still want to keep your tags on while playing. As for me, a gamertag change might be in store...we'll see!
Have fun guys, see you on the frontline!

P.S: If anybody wants any web hosting, dont hesitate to ask. I got 8Terrabytes/month of bandwidth and a few hundred gigatbytes of storage.
Cheers,
David Gill (Aussierockr)

We'd love to see some new faces (or in this case, new names) in our servers and especially in the scrim ladders.

Hope to see you guys on the battlefield soon!
