Hey Sexy Admins,

I am finding it very frustrating and so is everyone else that I play with on TS that it takes forever to get a TEA squad together because we can never get on the same side with ease.

Can we please have the settings changed so that it is possible for someone to swap teams when the teams are even? So that Teamswap will allow a difference of no more than 2 people to a side?

Example:

MEC | US

10 v 10, One player from either side can swap team.
11 v 10, MEC can join US only.
12 v 10, MEC can join US only.
13 v 10, One MEC is forced to the US team.

Visa Versa

This was possible to do with a battlefield Vietnam servers as you could set a slider that would set the teamswap setting strength.

This would be so helpful, I think we should at least give it a trial for a week and get rid of it if its annoying or keep it if it works.

the server is set to have a difference of 2 - ie it can allow 2 extra on one side before swapping. Unfortunately it sometimes works and at others times is goes a little silly and either makes swaps when things are one out or leave it alone for 5 minutes and you get 4-5 extras on one side.

Best thing you can do is just keep an eye on the player numbers and swap when the numbers are uneven.

Be aware that you can not change sides when the map is starting and the sides can get very uneven. It usually sorts itself out after the start.

Please do not just change sides to get in with your mates. It is better to have even sides and if the other side is struggling then swap side to help out.

Darth that isn't true.

If the teams are even you CANNOT change team, their must be 1 less on the other team to change. I have tried changing teams many times and that is how it is.

That is ridiculous, I wouldn't be playing this game if I didn't get to play with my clan, as we are a "Clan" and we play together. Can you please adjust the setting to make it possible to get on the same team without waiting 10 minutes for the teams to be uneven in your favour.

Nice to know we run a couple of ridiculous servers - thanks

Even if you have to wait until the other team is down a player to swap, it is still pretty easy to swap over.

Just look at all the times [WC] is accused of team stacking, lol. :P

Or just leave the game and rejoin when your side is down a man...

I understand the attraction to playing with one's clannies, but pub squads can be fun too :)

Sorry darth, I love the servers you guys do a great job, just trying to make it easier to have more fun.

Lol Psyrus, sooo many n00bs in PR now I almost feel like becoming an emo and cutting myself whenever I play without a few from the TOP 6 clans.

Recall that you too were once amongst those you now ridicule; everyone started somewhere :)

Team Swapping - Those wishing to team up with friends, clan members, etc, must wait until the other team is down a player or two and then swap.

If you want to swap when the other team is down a player, no problem, but please be aware of keeping the teams as even as possible in terms of skill and experience.

Of course everyone loves to play with their mates, but be aware that constantly rolling with a full/locked squad of team mates is no way to make friends in this game. Inviting a couple of newer players into your squad is a great way to help teach new players the ropes and educate them in the mature gameplay that is PR. It also can and often does lead to new recruits for your clan.
This is most definitely not a shot at TEA, this is a request to all of our regular players and community members.

Second that. This has helped us net quite a few good players. And the best thing is once they squad up with you and you show them how good it can be, they will remember your clan and tags and they will find you when they decide to join a clan.

Just a little bump of this thread..
Have the teamswap settings changed again? its seems to be that you can only swap when the other team is 1 layer down. It can get fairly annoying when your trying to swap to be with clannies and freinds.
And just to avoid someone flamming me this is NOT about playing the as better faction or getting superior vehicles...

To join a server and go into the side your mates are on is easiest if you don't join right away.

If teams are even you will be put onto the USA (or equivalent of) team.

If you join when the USA team has 1 less player you go into USA the team.

If you join the server when MEC (or equivalent of) has 1 less player then you will go into the MEC team.

So if you want to join the USA team, wait until the teams are even/USA team has 1 person less. If you want to join the MEC team wait until the USA team has 1 person more then MEC.

That is probably confusing but its how I roll :D

Nah that's how I do it too Anaraith. And Shadow, as much as 'playing with friends and clannies' is nice, have you too noticed that interestingly enough, all the people who have been playing PR for ages are 'friends and clannies', and strangely enough end up on one side, and then the other side, again strangely enough, ends up being those newer to PR? Maybe the admins got as sick of it as I did (and to be fair, I've teamswapped to play with people before... so I'm not preaching from some high horse here)... I think it's a great move and hope it stays in place to help keep the skill balanced between the teams.

Yeah, hate to say it but when theres a total skill-stack on one side, it gets really, really unbearable for the other side. I normally just quit after yelling stuff over global at everyone. It really, really, REALLY annoys me when pretty much every clan goes on one side.

Yeah especially lately I've just been trying to stick with the team I'm dealt, but really, when you have it totally stacked, it is seriously infuriating (especially trying to lead a new squad against 3-4 experienced squads on the other side, you just get ripped to shreds). I can usually count on the N/A boys or pmd to come help me out though, so I'm thankful for that at least
:)

Yeah have nothing against swapping over to play with your clan mates, but clans should try not to stack with other clans on the same team.

It is much more fun to play a good game with my [WC] boyz against an enemy team that has [bD], N/A or other good PR clans in it rather than have all the PR clans on one team vs. all the randoms and winning in the first 5 minutes due to cap out.

I never teamswap because I have no friends.

But, as we know, this teamswapping creates more problems for the server if it's done incorrectly.

You people realize that when you team swap when the teams are even, it kicks someone else who might have been having fun, to the other team.

Meh. I still kick anyone's ass given the distance between me and them doesn't exceed 100m. And there's cover around. And if I have nades and I didn't go medic. Even then I still have a high chance of knifing you.

So swap me for all I care. =P
