Ok,
No doubt some of you who come from a resonble background in vanilla battlefeild 2 will remember, know of, or even played with Death Comes Suddenly or =DcS=.
Well, there are a handful of =DcS= members who are interested in signing up to a Project Reality Team, one that competes in a ladder such as the one held here.
We are not interested in running our own division for Project Reality, but would much rather squading up with an already established team.
We are still continuing to play in our 10v10 GameArena, and 6v6 CyberGamer Vanilla ladders.
Death Comes Suddenly has had interest from the following players who range from fair ammount of PR game time, to a few new guys willing to learn about some more tactical and serious gaming:
bugareeeee or bugzeeeee
Spanner
Specilist_Sniper
Deatharrow
Anzac_Creed
Polden-XI
Note: Some of the above players may not wish to play ladder matches, and there may also be further interest from other members.
Now that may seem like a fairly hefty ammount to take on to a team, however you must realise, we have another Battlefield commitments aswell, and we do not expect to come into a team and be instantly allowed to play ladder matches.
Our main reasons behind this offer are:
1) To get more out of playing PR in public servers - Gaming with a well oiled team improves fun levels, and in the end giving a more "Realistic" experience.
2) To gain more skill - Learn from the best
3) To get to know the community, by being involved in a team.
Death Comes Suddenly realise that taking on numerous members may seem a risky endevour, however we are no strangers to mature gameplay and teamwork, And we sure as hell realise how a clan works.
Overall, we want what is best for the PR community, and we believe bringing a handful of players into the ladder will help the BigD community.

Polden, the great thing about the BigD ladder is the ability to Merc for other teams. Unless a team decides to use you as their sole source of mercenary firepower (incase of not being able to get numbers for a match) your best bet is simply to be present on the BigD teamspeak on the night of a match... that's generally where players are pulled from.
That said, best of luck and I hope someone adopts you.
PS: go and buy Killzone 2 right now and come get some.

Thankyou, and yes i seen you playing on the PS3.
Yeah we are looking for a single team preferably, instead of being a MERC group for different teams.

Find one of the small clans that had to pull out and create a mixed side with them?
Like what SIN and TEA did...
kind of unrelated but whatever happened to that hellish clan?

Wishing you all the best and hope you can field.
I am not sure if you are trying to seek a partnership or merge into a clan but what ever the outcome , will see you in game and will ask a few queries

Yeah, we arent to fussed. We are happy to play under a team, or to have a partnership with a team for PR, but i dont think a merge is on the cards (as we have an established team already with heaps of history, and are only looking for a PR team).

Nothing, simply put a lot of members lost interest in PR (newer versions). Some of us make an appearance every now and then in the pubs.

Good luck in finding a team DcS PR ladders are far better than bf2 ladders (in every aspect).

There are plenty of PR clans - you might want to have a look through some of the Clan tags on the scoreboard in Gametracker. Anyway, you don't have to merge with them in every ladder your clan is involved in, that's just stupid. Ask around and squad up with some of them in-game, I'm sure plenty of other teams are interested but can't field the numbers.
The more teams the better!!!

Yep, thats right.
So no team here is willing to take on a few members?

LoL I dont think you can compare one Pr ladder to the multiples of BF2 ladders still being contested hotley in the community still 3-4 years after release.

I think he might have meant the actual 10v10 gameplay?

Theres atleast 3 10v10 BF2 ladders ATM, when a PR mod can pull over 39 teams for a ladder like one of them then you have made it untill then the rest of the BF2 community wont bother with it.

Until we play 32v32 in a ladder, we are not worthy.

Once, again, he means Project Reality ladder gameplay compared to BF2 ladder matches. Im pretty sure you didn't even read what he said.
Either way, most of the people here have completely detached from BF2. I know *AUS* is still heavily involved in the vanilla ladder ladder but saying we havn't "made it" is just plain stupid. Maybe we don't want people to "bother with it" anyway. Most of the people who play vanilla are a bunch of psycotic arcade addicts that gain enjoyment out of zapping defribs all day long.

PR is and will always only appeal to a small minority of players.
BF2 is much easier to learn, has alot more publicity and exposure and come in a nice shiny case from the games shop, therefore it has a much larger and broader player base.
The PR community is the largest its been. there are about 250 active players with maybe 50-100 more that drop in from time to time. Out of these 50 or so are in clans or teams that want to have a competition.
We will probably never have a ladder with 20 teams let alone 39 and thats OK.
yes it would be nice to have more team and a bigger ladder, but for the people playing in the last 3 seasons, they have had a great time and encourage all players to join up and give it a go.
As for the game play aspects well the two games are really really different, just like a Morris Minor is to a Ferrari. Comparing the two is not really going to help the matter and im sure there are people that love the BF2 Vanilla matches and think they are the greatest experience there is.
I'm not taking any sides. I've hardly played PR scrims and never vanilla so I cant make a call.
Would love for people to get involved and promote where and when they can to get some more teams or players into teams so we can make the ladder we do have the best it can be.

OK don't want to derail a thread but let me clarify. I was talking general game play (as psyrus pointed out) not the size, time of running or popularity and was certainly not talking about 1 PR ladder ;) . Oh and 32v32 comp would be nice, still remember that one clan match we did play...Awesome to say the least.
