YouTube - Massive Action Game (MAG) Debut Trailer (Rate This Game)

The article seems to refer to L2 so i guess its gonna be on console...
Fingers crossed that its on PC as well!
Doubt it but it deserves a thread anyways!

And Could a Console support 256 players anyway?

possible new PR engine?

EDIT: surely it will be on PC some day, but for now its only PS3

i think the Term PS3 Exclusive means That its not coming to pc....

finally some games with decent player limit. Bout time they stepped up to the year 2009.

It looks alot like prey and spray tho.. I think Ill take a look but probably to arcadish.. ARMA 2 is on top of my llist.. as arma 1 can already support 100 players.

Planetside came out in 2003 and is a great mmofps with massive maps :P
it had (or has, dont mind me) 135 positions per team on each continent ( live battle, think of it as 8 planets with on-going maps that dont end)
*3 teams too *

although it is arcadey (but fun!) and not real life, i don't think having that many people in a real life sim would be good anyways. you couldn't deny the zerg.

i dunno daffan.. i played some game was called like WW2 online or somthing that had massive amounts of players and was pretty close to a real life sim and was fun but my computer couldnt handle its uniqueness

my fave thing when i played the trial was flying bombers in formation with 8 other planes and getting whipped out by a squad of fighters just as we were bombs away haha.

jesus, the graphics in that are bad, :P

I tried to fly a plane and i totally sucked at it, heard playerbase is dead tho.

haha the graphics are bound to be bad when you have a 1/2 scale map of Western Europe. It is one of the largest MMOG maps, at over 350,000 kmē, with most play occurring in a 30,000 kmē central area in which capturable cities, airfields and ports have been placed.

I remember hopping in a tank and being GEEZE this is realistic, they even make me look through the Bloody portoculis or the little window inside the cockpit. I pretty much ran around getting owned for the first....well whole trial.

Its published by sony so i would say this one is staying on the PS3

Yeah i've seen it all before, its so not like that in the real game anyways, im pretty sure when i played i played the new one. It's called World war 2 online Battleground europe ( the graphical enhanced one, still sucks )

I know about the technical stuff you mean but PS could pull it off!!! just need to rework the balancing and the textures and whoooosh
