Noob Needs Help

:hi:As the title says I'm a ArmA 2 noob. (man that sounds like an AA :wine:thing) "Hi my name is Spooky and *sigh* I'm a ArmA noob" lol back on track.

Questions:

When I play MP with a squad every now and then they will ask for my position, I see every one else in the squad reply but I don't know how to reply with my position? Please help

The GPS system does it do anything else but just tell your position can it be used to plot advances through certain areas?

VOIP? Is there any setting that can be manipulated to increase outgoing and incoming volumes?

If thats okay I will post more as they arise as a few of the *AUS* boys have or are purchasing the game and are keen to learn the game ASAP so this thread will help em out , not to mention any other ArmA noobs. :fans:

GPS cant be manipulated, you can put markers while on the map to plot positions which can show up on your GPS.

VOIP can be changed in sound settings i assume.

as for the position one, what do you mean? be definitive, what do the others who know say?

Well the sl ask "Where are You" and the squad reply with co-ords ie 70987

I think it either auto-replies or you do it manually by pressing 0 or 5 and following the prompts

All in all never use gps i think sells for good $$$ and teamkilling comms for $$$

wana explain what you said in a language we understand?

the report location is an auto message, it occurs when you spawn usually.

AI do it alot.

you can manually work out your location(GPS coords) by looking at your map.
