ARMA 2 ACE2 INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

ACE2 = CBA + ACE + ACEX + ACEX_PLA + ACEX_SM

CBA = Base Functions used for ACE2
ACE = Scripts controlling ACE2
ACEX = AC2 Vehicles, Units etc
ACEX_SM = New sounds for ACE2
ACEX_PLA = China Units, Vehicles

1) Install ArmA2 from your DVD

2) Download and install the ArmA2 1.05 official patch

3) Download and install the six updater to any location (ie program files)
http://dev-heaven.net/projects/list_files/six-arma-updater

4) Open the shortcut the installer placed on your desktop

5) It will open a web browser (ie or firefox or whatever) by itself and be blank for a little while before it synchronises.

6) Select A.C.E mod from the main drop down menu

7) Click "synchronise", then "save", then "execute" waiting for the page to refresh between each click.

8) Add -mod=@CBA;@ACE;ACEX;@ ACEX_PLA;@ACEX_SM to the target line in your arma2 shortcut

UPDATING
To update your ACE2 folders, just open the six updater web page via desktop shortcut and click execute.

I 100% back this method I uses it when ACE first came out and I'm still using it with no changes it just simply works.

7) Change the action to "Install or Update"

8) Click "synchronise", then "save", then "execute" waiting for the page to refresh between each click.

9) Add -mod=@CBA;@ACE;ACEX;@ ACEX_PLA;@ACEX_SM to the target line in your arma2 shortcut so it looks like:

"C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\ArmA2.exe" -mod=@CBA;@ACE;ACEX;@ ACEX_PLA;@ACEX_SM

UPDATING IN THE FUTURE
To update your current ACE2 folders, just open the six updater web page via desktop shortcut and click reset skip status, and then execute.

The six updater program has had an update itself yesterday and the new version of ACE (334) requires that you use the new version.

updated
