Well guys I've been speaking in TS with a few community members and there is definitely a lack of teamwork oriented and enforced servers and I plan to fix this.

I've been given the go ahead by Uncle Darth to set up a server and I will pay for this myself so we have a place to play that is teamwork based and in line as much as can be to the bD standard of play.


This means good admin who are not jerks who abuse people but enforce team play. Getting rid of the annoying habits like jumping in the Blackhawk for your own personal ride to bail out over a target with a chopper full of people. Or the other favorite of taking a tank only to jump out giving it to the other team. Smashing the attack helicopters into the mountains on takeoff and all the other fun that goes along with a server that has no admin or admin that do the above.


Over the next couple of days I'll look into which providers will allow us to select as many admin as we want as I've heard not all do such as 3FL from what I understand.

I would love to get it off of GAU but Darth has informed me that EA is not allowing the smaller companies to provide servers at this time. As soon as they do I'll switch as I'd much rather give my money to the fellas who have been helping our community grow.


Suggestions are welcome and appreciated such as rules we can agree on. Spawn rape is part of this game unfortunately as there isn't really a death zone and as you move forward people enemy gets left behind you with the flow of battle.


I will need help of course, I'll need admin. Pretty much any bD admin we have now will get it by default if they wish as they have proven to do a good job and we can add more as we go. One thing I love about this idea is that having no set clan as admin means that we'll catch a lot of the a$$hats and bring down the ban hammer when they think they can get away with douchebaggery. :)


I'll also need help establishing the server. This means getting in TS and populating it even when it's empty and doing so over time until people just naturally look us up mashing buttons hoping someone DC's.


The server will be Hardcore and I plan if possible to do a rotation that is both Rush and Conquest with the map running twice so each side has a go as defender and attacker for Rush and a faction change on the Conquest maps.

Don't be too harsh with the kicking powers, for some reason people don't like that and don't come back. :p


and the price difference is hypernia $30 a month for 32 slot whilst GA is up around $60.

The rules will be made clear, those that get kicked will be kicked for a reason they can be a douche somewhere else.


It's a 32 slot server and so far will be the only teamwork server in Australia for BFBC2. People like teamwork and I doubt I'll have an issue keeping it full.

Also the idea of no set clan governing is very nice, will definetly keep the players coming back, especially since we have a community already set up and going.

with the rules i think they should be far more relaxed than PR, mainly due to the game community as it is now, in the future you could problem make them alot stricter once you get your core group of players/community. till then think should just focus on kicking the trouble makers and just plain morons lol.

I do plan on it being more relaxed, it would have to be due to the nature of the game. It would be a nightmare to enforce a no base rape rule especially when I too am a culprit at times. :P

The server is now live, it's Conquest at the moment. I have no idea how to set it up so I'm going to mess around with it until I can make it work.

Play around in your Hypernia control panel sorting everything out, and for day to day use of the server get Guardian or a similar type CC program to sort out names, maplists, modes etc.

If you haven't changed the name it will be called "My Hypernia Server" or something similar.

We use guardian, it's pretty decent. Have you tried your Hypernia control panel?

There is also a fence on one of the maps you can knife and when the fence goes down the building goes down along with the bomb planting box.

The glitch is useless, you can't do anything inside the apache and you can't even get out. Only use for it is staying on the cap.

On Isla Inocentes, at the 3rd set of MCOM's you can knife/rocket a ladder behind the building on the right (from attackers POV) MCOM station, destroying it instantly.

It's on all the time. It's always available I need other community members to do what Chan did and just use it until people join.

I do it when I'm not working away but I will need help from others for it to work. Anyone who can jump in early when a lot of servers are empty would be appreciated.


Plus I need more regular players to help admin it.



Oh and it's going off right now, I'll be in there most of the day.
