Data file too short message
I impatiently purchased Arma 2 from steam and now it has finally finished downloading I get
"Data file too short 'addons\wheeled2.pbo '. Expected ... B, got ... B when I launch it. Any ideas? Godfrey

Just typical.. Game productions arn't what they used to be. Clearly ARMA II needed at least another 2 months of development. They just want to suck out our hard earned cash and give us a crappy incomplete product.

meh. if you went through steam try the check game cache files or something, it will search the files and fix anyones broken usually.

Theres such thing? My GTA IV would always skrew up, so I had to reinstall it. Coffed up bout 30 GB of downloads.. Lucky steam uses gamearena data servers.

Go into steam, right click the game>properties>loca lfilesTAB>verify inegrety of the game cache.

right click the game in steam go down to properties then click on the local files then down to verify integrity of game cache, steam then should find files that are missing/corrupt and download them if necessary.
