Lashkar Valley CTDs SERVER2

Tonight I cant play Lashkar Valley on server 2. I might get 10sec to 5mins of play then WHAM! CTD.. Sometimes the map just finishes loading then CTD.

I played Muttrah the previous round fine. Im not runing anything in the background I dont normally run, so this is frustrating..

Ive cleared the cashe files & restarted etc. Im going to try now to copy the Lashkar folder off my other PC to see if its a levels thing.

I had the same thing earlier! I restarted my comp and it worked... no idea what's up with it tho. I never really get CTDs (except the vehicle ones) and yeah, pretty odd!

Well the server last night was all over the place. lag etc. I even cashed to desktop a few times. So just might of been the server last night.

It eventually crashed the server last night also, we had a full server at the time but I can't remember what time it was.

Also, slightly off topic, but what do you have to do to get rid of the weird colour bugs? I'm talking about the one that makes the grass and rubbish that weird rainbow colour? Someone mentioned clearing the BF2 cache, but how do I do that?

It'll clear the cache and stuff.... the first time you load up a map it'll be a bit slower as it does that optimization garbage...

Lashkar Valley is extremely taxing on the system, bit a of a Dragon Fly situation with memory, try turning textures down to medium.

Nah Ryza, I had no problems last night due to lag (except the server lag) it was just the weird coloured grass bug that Sandy, I think, told me to clean the BF2 cache out.

Ah so that's why my Bf crashed. I thought it was just BF. Map needs to be optimized then

It does need a bit of optimizing, but its still my favorite insurgency map, and it's really, really well made. But yeah, try turning your textures down a little bit.

I had some similar issues to the original post here
just recently. I restarted, updated all my Nvidia drivers
(which had jumped significantly in version number in a short
time). Fixed it.

Off topic but yes, I agree with ryza. Despite clearly needing some optimization (fps is not... great), lashkar is a great map.

OK I turned my Textures down to Meduim everything else on High / Very High AAx4 and all good. It definatly was not a server thing as I could log into our Clan server with that same map running & wham CTDs all the same.. I think that map is just bugged.. If you turn your textures to LOW then you'll see the hyper coloured grass.. Very funnny... I took some screen shots I should post up..

Anyway its not a my PC as I have crap loads of processor & vid card to keep up as I can play ArmA 2 with all settings on High no problem.

You know on Iron Eagle i think it is (some map made that ADF get to use) if you have textures or one of the graphics settings set to low, the game will CTD on map load everytime without fail.

Im having the same drama's with Lashkar....crashes constantly..My system is ample for the map...something is just not right with it.
