Wednesday Night is BigD PR Night!!!

just wondering if we can get everyone who wants to still play PR in Oz is willing to jump on the server one night a week and try and get a decent number on the server rather than a few here and there on each night of the week.

Players should be strongly encouraged to use mumble, especially if they intend to squadlead.

I chose Wednesday night as it the night i know i can make, also its the middle of the week.

I'd say kick off would be 7pm. Not too sure what to do about a map list. Im thinking of an infantry list would be a good start and then maybe in the future each week a different theme, vehicles, insurgency etc.

any thoughts?

Didn't see the I'll continue playing most nights a week. But that's where I'm at.

Some nights I'm just too buggered so I'd rather watch a movie/tv or something instead.
I'm up for PR tonight though.

I was thinking about this a while back, having a day during the week, where everyone knows the server will be populated and can have a good round, that's not friday or saturday night.

Holidays are finishing, and therefore Wednesdays are out for me because of school.

the idea is to get people who might only play 1 or 2 times during the week to target wednesday.

people who play more will probably be there anyway, so trying to maximise numbers on wednesday night of people who play and hopefully if the numbers get higher enough it will drag people off the US servers or away from other games/rl.

After hearing peoples feedback I would have worded the poll different...bit hard to tell what to put when i made the poll in the first place. but the general feel is still there.

cant do wednesday sunday nights and monday nights seem to pull the most numbers (apart from fri and sat)

not sure which server yet, but this is the map list i am trying to get up for tomorrow night. its mainly inf on smaller maps, then AAS with vehicles on bigger map, then insurgency...see how it goes and the turn out...

Make sure you have all of the map packs. (I think there's 2 out? maybe 3..)

Excellent day for me as for 2 reasons.... 1 it is a night for me when i am not working and 2 it gives me a break from the rediculous amount of homework i have to complete.... at least for 1 map

Just a map rotation suggestion, can we seed on Tad Sae so we get into the guts of it (around 7pm onwards) on Asad Khal?

And also the Gaza layout should be changed so the flags are in the city (if you can control it), it's kinda lame for the hamas to be always fighting across open fields (yeah there are some houses and stuff, but you cannot do anything if they just sit on harbour and bomb the bejesus out of the compound). Taking the fight into the city makes it a bit more even and interesting.

Insurgency wouldn't be bad, we don't have any other rounds of it in the rotation so it's not like it'll get tedious.

thanks for all those who made an effort to turn up last week. this week the seed map will be the infantry layer of gaza beach, not insurgency version (hopefully the flags drop ok!).

Some feedback from last week.

The idea of this night is to try something different and remove reasons for people to leave the server.

Unfortunately tad sae was not a good flag drop and the US side got stuck in the bottom left quarter of the map and were severely out gunned by a side of majority clan players.

After 30 minutes I could feel the frustration of people on the US side and it caused people to start leaving the server. The players leaving were replaced by new players, but this kept the server numbers to about 20, when it could have got higher.

I understand why clans want to play together, and go for your life the other 6 nights of the week if this is how you want the server to play, just try to split yourselves up evenly on each side when your numbers get high, for the wednesday night rounds. even if you load in on one side, purposely switch to help even out the teams.

Also, if a team is out gunning the other, sit back and let them move out of corners or bottle necks and leave their fobs so they have somewhere to spawn. and on the same note, don't cap the last flag, if possible, and sit back and defend and let the opposing team a chance to come back.

I will be there, seeding sorta early. ps gek, from my experience, insurgency maps seed better than AAS. maybe Gaza insur first next time.
