I just don't think they can churn out stuff as fast as CoD considering the destruction in the maps and the relative size compared to the CoD maps. They also have what, 3 more DLC's to release?

I too agree with a point I didn't make (it was Python I think ). I left BF3 for the same reason I quit BC2, it's boring, and BF2 vanilla still takes an almighty dump on it in every aspect (map design and variety, gunplay, vehicles, 'strategy', uniqueness). Playing BF3 I could barely tell which FPS I was actually playing (it looks and feels the same as it's 'competitors'). The game had no soul, and I highly doubt BF4 will do anything to change my mind on DICE and EA being a bunch of assholes (EA being the assholes, DICE just not having a clue how to make games or a backbone).

EA do not use BETA's as they are intended, as we saw with the BF3 beta, it wasn't, they released a REALLY old build, took minimal feedback, and kept coming out with "We already know that, it's fixed, yes retail will fix it" (which was a complete bloody lie in most cases). Their beta was what most demo's are, except put together alot worse.

Currently most F2P games are doing their beta phases properly, as are Indie/small developer teams. But it's not like this grumbling is going to change the fact that Call of Modern Battlefield 12 is coming out soon.

Game itself was alright, but near impossible to co ordinate with other assault groups,I did take part in a 20 person attack on some small German town with us all on bicycles though that was funny as all hell .

Well after installation, i got the same issue - lag. The game idea is the same as BF play4free play more rounds, earn more credits, buy more stuff in order to achieve better performance in battle. Also have the ranking system. Overall decent game but LAG!

Anyone else playing this? Great fun if you're a fan of the medieval period and FPS games. Kinda like Mount and Blade but harder and more violent.

yeah i gave it a go for a little while, but i wish i got war of the roses instead
really, not a deep enough game, its just a arena DM most of the time just got
old quick.... will give it another go down the track in the hope of patches etc.

even had some instances of epic lol's, but good for a quick bash

After watching a Tb vid, I gave this demo a go.... pretty neat old school
gaming!! gets a bit sore on the eyes though, the resolution is hideous, and
the art but i got past that!

Funnily enough I think some people who bought war of the roses say the opposite! From what I can see the games are so similar yet each lack what the other does well. Customisation & polish for War but good melee combat and brutality for Chiv. Now if only we could merge them!

And I bought War of the Roses before it was released, loved it in beta and wasn't too bad, but I never got the time to play it till about a month ago, And I don't know if I had just gotten awful or there's a lot of people running auto swing hacks or something, but I couldn't block anything and everything of mine was blocked, I ended up just giving up. Not to mention one area of bad with that game is starting off a level 1 when everyone else is 40+ with everything unlocked.

Honestly there was a stage in the beta where the game was bloody perfect. Things hit, did damage that made sense, all 3 armours were viable etc.

Now... Ugh, even after taking a break from it, it's just not.. fun. Rank 40 something and I can faceroll the server if I feel like it, just isn't fun doing it. There's the rediculous godplate, blunt weapons are made of rubber and things have spastic hitboxes and the new weapons... jesus christ obiwankenobi must've been around handing out anakins old crap, or the weapons testers were all high on christmas hash cookies.

Apparently some stuff got less stupid in the latest patch, but I don't think it'll have helped much.

Also there was a neat glitch for ages where swords would wrap around your blocks and hit you anyway. And there's a one handed sword that does 40 on the average slash. To heavy armour.

Well, still got other games to play .
