How I heard the AC130 is going to work is that there wil be a point on the map which is dependant n the team controlling it i.e. if RU control point they get gunship and vice versa. Gunship (from what I saw) has 2 position, the gunner and another (another gunner seat or spotter or something). You cannot FLY the plane, you can spawn into it while as it starts circling the map once you cap said objective. You can then bail out and HALO onto map and probably get into it by parachuting out of jet and holding down E. AC130 is slow and not maneuverable has flares (not sure if player operated or automatic with cool down) but can be shot down by fighters, it's up to friendly jets to protect this awesome asset.

I am pretty happy that they are supporting the game with new maps weapons and game modes. (wish they were free)

I was planning to skip this DLC and buy others when they come out.
But apparently you can't buy them individually and I'll need to dish out for premium if I want them.. I so technically have to pay for something I already own (back to Karkand) and something that I don't want.
I think I'll keep my money thanks EA.
Although it is nice to see that they're still being as greedy as ever.

No you dont have to pay for something you dont want.

You can buy packs themselves, 2 weeks after they are released. (premium get it 2 weeks before anyone else)

Also, the karkand exp is discounted off the price (checked it with my bro that dont have it) it was $70ish for him were only $50ish for me

No it is not.
The price on origin is $50 flat even if you have the B2K expansion already.
Either way paying for bonus perks and what not is something I expect from a FtP game, not something that I've already paid $60 for. Paying for the expansions is reasonable but exclusive XP weekends, early access and other crap just makes my blood boil.

yeah, if they included BF3 in the pack as well I'd snap it up, BUT I might wait till a patch is released later on which if they follow BF2 should give it to you for free (thinking EF & AF here, bought both, two months later they release em for free in a patch).

Yeah the new maps are very much targetted at CoD players, and they play even worse than I remember CoD playing.. It's sad really, 1 Gungame and 4 rounds of Conquest Domi to get my assignments done this morning on 2 of the maps and I was over them already... I might see myself having a look at the other 2 I haven't played but I certainly won't be playing them to enjoy them.

My biggest gripe with this game is the screenclutter from the hud. Why must I have every capture point, friendly unit (even through terrain), mine and c4 on my screen, even in hardcore mode?
Seriously? Im supposed see guys in cover and shoot them, with all this on my screen? Just poor design IMO. No left alt to turn it off either.
