Re: Your Current Ride
First time on the bike in aaages. Did the St Lucia - Indro loop + a bit of a play around a pump track I found across the river. 35kms all up!
Nearly got runover though. But alls well that ends well ![]()

Re: Your Current Ride
So to celebrate the end of my exams, I didn't get blind drunk (straight away). Instead I rode up Mt Cootha with a mate.
Salty just wondering if you know the firetrail that brings you out right at the lookout? Damn its steep, proper hike a bike stuff. But the descent on the singletrack is great, really technical at the top but sorta opens up to really fast flowy stuff. Hit ~54Km/h on the descent somewhere... ![]()

Re: Your Current Ride
You're just up there lurking around the girls Xave...
![]() Yeah I think I've messed about on that steep Westerly slope - it's arse over the back wheel, heart in your mouth, locked up back brake stuff if I remember correctly. |

Re: Your Current Ride
The lookout sure has some great views
Yeah it's great, bugger going back down the firetrail - but my mate's right into downhill and he reckons it's doable on a proper DH sled. The singletrack just off from it is really nice.

Cheers Seal, she is a bit of a looker hey - should've asked for her number...
Anyway, this video is awesome. http://vimeo.com/54099656 And Production Privee's 'The Shan Original' goes on my list of possible frames after seeing someones built up rig on Rotorburn. http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Product...sted-2012.html Damn they are one of the cleanest looking frames I've ever seen...

Re: Your Current Ride
You have to throw your weight into corners to make sure that car stays down and she gets a little light in the front which makes it interesting.
Great fun all round though. The Russians have made it agricultural fun machine

Found this little gem, works out to be around $505 AU before importing. Looks like a beast of a rig. Nom nom, steel hardtails are awesome.
