Re: =]UG[= MilSim

im like on all the time, just coz i choose to stay up till dawn doesn't make it wierd
btw, movements just help your groups security/firepower/reconnaissance/communications/stop friendly fire/coordinated speed with others etc, fighting as a team is the only way to sway, u cant be team rambo and team soldiers at the same time nor can u shape the battlefield by your self.

as i explain to ppl.. imagine u cloned your rambo self 6 times, you had the ability to speak to your self telepathically.. and had an understanding of tactics, to get as close to this as possible and you got yourself a dream team right? the only way to get this is training not sitting back and thinking your already rambo so i can fit in any team, doesnt work like that...

as soon as your fighting with a supporter and a assaulter, from 2 players to a million players it will always be far ahead of trying to play solo, eg. think of it as a triangle and 2 of the corners are trying to shoot at 1 who can only fire 1 direction, you cant do this with 1 person so you can never be reliable. split the fire teams and you have a effective kill zone at will. so long as thos moves practiced they are at your fingertips as a commander and so epic games begin.

Panda you have been pretty standardly opfor the only times the server has been quiet enough for us to talk shop and test things out. The goal here, I'm assuming, is to get some involvement on both teams, so that there are two useful skillsets being developed at once. We're definately not talking "hurr you sit in the AA and I in de choppa...", more cohesive and interesting goals/approaches to combat will have to be thought up so that everyone learns something and has a good time.

I don't think I'm always on the blufor team. I don't really care if I'm not. I just try to do my best on whatever team I am on and yeah, try to have fun.

But yeah some better tactics and refining teamwork can be worked on.

Re: =]UG[= MilSim

We should try and gather a bit more of a die hard late night following for when the server is emptying out. 6v6 really is a lot of fun, and there is plenty of downtime between any attack six people could mount for discussion of formation and tactics.

That night a few weeks ago when we managed a full two hour round with less than 8 on a team for the whole time fighting over the city in Burning Sands managed to be both educational and fun.

In actual fact maybe we just need to get the other server going?

Constant 6 man mechanised formation vs static firebase.

Rinse and repeat.

Really its not too far off what you would be doing normally, except no rush would be involved and plenty of time could be had to refine movement and the various technicalities that may arise.

Re: =]UG[= MilSim

Yeah, getting some knowledge and learning some different tactics is pretty fun. Flatking and I were just on the server ourselves just showing each other how we shoot and estimating different ranges. I thought that was pretty cool.

Great round on kokan last night flatking... it's a shame the server died mid round after our squad nailed that known cache.

Re: =]UG[= MilSim

yeah, its much easier to play and alot less stress when ppl know a few simple moves and principals, thats the benifit of having some regular ppl that train together.. its not so much about learning a tactic.. its more about learning people while doing a tactic.. when u get a whole new bunch of ppl doing the same thing it doesnt seem to work exactly the same.

cheers for joining our squad too, got some good use out of u was too bad every other squad wasn't directly giving us the support we needed

Re: =]UG[= MilSim

This is not an invite to the clan, although should you show aptitude and interest it certainly may be on the cards. Its an invitation to train with us, extended particularly to OCN players, but also to anyone with a positive attitude towards increasing their skill levels.

To reiterate UG is a clan focused on training and the betterment of fellow man etc, not scrims, wars or egotistical "we're the best!" bulldust

If your interested in learning how to keep yourself and your squad alive longer, its quite likely we will have something for you. Last nights training actually didn't end up going ahead to to zero turnout, however we do make a regular thing of it with the core five or so players. If you are interested feel free to PM me or try and get in contact with us on mumble or BigD teamspeak on Monday nights.

Hope to see you there.

EDIT: sorry about breaking the filter rule there.

Hoping a few people turn up to training tomorrow night, Should be good depending on how many people turn up.

I'll say it again, The training does actually help. It gives you a different outlook on the battlefield.

As nasty said before anyone who is willing to learn is welcome to turn up.

Look forward to people turning up and learning something new.
