The Last Film You Watched:

Cleanskin; bit of a tough guy, sorta gritty spy flick. I didnt like the flashbacks that lost my immersion and had a bit of trouble with the characters motivations, but appreciated the cynicism, the parkour n boom headshots.
Super8 a spielburge r film, loved it, for a bit of escapism, would of been awesome to watch this as a kid as they are the heros, their acting is highlighted by the film with in a film type thing, good fun.
Melenchoia by Lars von Trier, as the title suggests its got a bit of melancholy, this is so base but Kirsten dunst has grown into a woman that high brow painters love, one scene her form is exceptionally lit n mmm nom nom. Her performance, indeed the whole cast is great, he got a bunch of sweet actors. The film does produce this foreboding, this inescapable pointless doom is captured nicely.
Tinker tailor soldier spy, the newish version with Garry Oldman, every character is played by an exceptional british actor, quite dead pan, not a lot oes on but so worth it for the performances.

^ yeah the touch of murkyness at the end was nice, His handler was a nice pick too, sexy old duck n a good actor, not a great flick, not terrible.

Limitless; Robert De nero support n the fellow from the hanger over as lead play entertainingly. The guts of it seamed to be about addiction, all sorts of temptations n players are thrown into the mix. some disorientating n fresh camera work, colouring n editing demonstrated the characters shifts in perspective, the highs n the lows are big n bold, a fun n sickening ride.

Citizen Kane (1941), with some great cinematography and themes.
Total Recall (2012), with some great CGI and rubbish story.
Total Recall (1990), with some classic Arnold action and cheese to go.
Juno (2007), decent film with a quirky soundtrack.

Now to watch the old 3 hour classic; 7 Samurai (1954)

The Watch,
its a cracker, four fellows form a team to protect their home town from egg throwing teens and aliens. The dialogue is great, some scenes start with one of the characters spinning a line that is a giggle then another comes back with a chuckle, then a third throws in a messed up tangent and it just roles on, they are funny buggers, really enjoyed it

Just watched City of God, really great Brazilian movie. I was skeptical, but it was great.

highly recommend it to anyone that hasn't seen it! Probably one of the best films i've watched in recent years.
