FlatkinG has a spectacular aura about
=]UG[= MilSim

G'day guys,
most of you know me from in game( "=]UG[= FlatkinG" ) so shouldn't be much surprise that I'm posting here but i lead a non-ladder clan =]UG[= "Underground Gamers" who is looking to redevelop a team of mature professional players that can work as a team in public games of PR(no skill required), i train people in military tactics IRL using paintball as a platform for training most of which are currently serving or ex military types.

iv been coaching many current players on PR from many other clans etc which works out awsome when they are in my squad but id like to get some lads of my own together so i have active members to play with on a more regular basis, the overall goal is to have a fully trained 6 man squad(or more) to play on public games with, typically so there's fellow UG trained members on each time we play.. just come home from work and play with people who are at the same fundamental level of understanding. (epic pub battles made easy)

this is probably more for people who don't have time to dedicate to a war-clan, or thos more interested in a more tactical game play or even just want to learn more about military tactics, if u don't want to join UG directly i don't mind training people on private/empty servers as i have done with many PR players/clans before as i like training just as much as playing (yes I'm weird like that)

if this apeals to you or any questions let me know.
we host Private BF2/PR servers for training and teamspeak server, ill see u in-game. promote PR aiiiiiiight

Re: =]UG[= MilSim

I just finished a couple of hour training session with FlatkinG, and highly recommend it.

We had a full squad moving in formation, providing covering fire, standardized comms, etc. A much higher level of teamwork and tactics was taught and I can see how it would dramatically improve the level of gameplay if we could get a good handful of guys embracing the techniques used.

I look forward to seeing you online FlatkinG, and keep up the work training everybody. You can only change the world, one noob at a time!

I would definately be interested in this. I was meaning to hit up a few of the 101 sessions so this seems right up my alley.

Sounds good. I've never really had the time to join a full time clan as i don't play too much anymore. Would be keen in doing a few training sessions and whatnot. One thing I'd love to see more often on the public server is not just single squads, but groups of squads working together over teamspeak. (as in working as a 12 man squad, bounding, covering, suppressing, formations etc.)

This is something I agree with, I would love to be a part of something like this, Where 2+ squads are working together, Moving up covering etc.

Re: =]UG[= MilSim

I am keen in getting in on some of the training sessions, hook me up.

If 50% of people on the forum picked up a higher level of teamwork and communication the whole community would play at a far higher and more realistic level.

Re: =]UG[= MilSim

thanks sauce for ur reply, and 2 working squads would b a very long road to go down.
here's the problem.. people love teamwork, want to excel in things, and experience the atmosphere but almost nobody will actually take a few minutes to have something explained to them so they can have that, there's a lot of lazy ppl in the world who think they will get what they want without working for it, just like Rambo did

personally id rather train then play because u can see the progression of the team spirit that grows among your group, to me that's more satisfying than shooting, but 80% of ppl that play games just like to shoot a gun and don't really care about anything else.

but when u can find some like minded gamers u can really step up the gaming atmosphere and learn alot!

Sad thing is, I played a game where the more you actually practice the better you would get at the game. It was all about movement and actually being able to aim. Not just HurrDurr run and gun like what PR is starting to turn into.

Re: =]UG[= MilSim

oh i dunno... if u look at most games out there PR is probably the most team worked 1st person there is.. there's others but don't work as well it seems, when PR is on AO hopefully it will b a bit friendlier, atm without the suppression effects, and the extremely slow prone/crouch moves make it very hard for contact drills, plus the guns are mega accurate which is realistic for the gun but not very realistic considering a living breathing soldier is meant to be aiming not a mouse which is far too accurate.

i remember playing with u the other day cow didn't even realize it was u haha, that squad wasn't too bad for once, cant wait to get a consistent group together so i don't have to worry about that anymore

This is very easy to achieve!

Step 1: Go to the SL channel in Mumble
Step 2: Ask a fellow SL to join you in Mumble SL channel
Step 3: Start communicating

This is a no brainer! It's part of how Mumble is supposed to be used. It's very effective. It requires almost no effort - once the two SL's start communicating, the teamwork flows naturally.

Psyrus has a bee in his bonnet about UCS, I have a bee in my bonet about peeps using Mumble to its full potential. I'd still like to see some community nights where Mumble is the ONLY comms allowed.

OH, and FlatkinG, we need some way to schedule a
next training, and give people a chance to sign up etc.. Saturday morning perhaps?

Ohh I know this Ed, I witnessed a great deal of it last night with Psyrus as a SL. We were rolling Mech inf. It worked extremely well untill the squad we were covering kinda left the server. Was a shame, Was alot of fun.
