Halo 4 and beyond...

I'm sure you guys have come across this. But Halo has been my favourite game (and possibly my religion) since 2001, even more than Battlefield.

I am treating the new game with aprehension, however the first trailer has impressed me:

With the 10th Anniversary of Combat Evolved approaching, I am glad that 343 Industries is giving it the proper birthday present.

Anyone else looking forward to this also?

is this one gonna come out on PC as well? i loved halo 1 but only because it came out on PC (i don't own any consoles).

Next year, and it continues directly on from Halo 3.

The planet at the end of the video is, and should be, the one from halo 3 for those who have finished the game on ledgendary.

Most likely the game will directly involve the forerunners somehow (forerunners are the dudes who built the Halos, believed to be extinct).

Havent watched the vid yet might if it seems to be good. Is it gonna be Xbox only? i mean considering how everyone else is branching to PC and consoles (more cash) would have thought they would have joined that bandwagon if it is to be xbox only still.

Just watched the vid...has some explaining, but meh this looks EPIC and forgot to add i bet ya the forerunners are humans....(or so freaking close it isnt funny).

Well I dont think they will ever put halo on a console other than Xbox. They released Halo 2 on pc eventually so you we can hope...

Words cannot describe how much anticipation i have, i literally hyper-ventilated when i got my hands on halo 3. i cannot image what i will do when i get this game, so much win!

Current cannon states that the forerunners are similar to the humans, however they are not the same species. In the Halo universe, the humans had an empire millions of years ago and were involved in am ancient war with the flood. (This is well before forerunners and halo, current humans)

The humans were victorious, but lost many many planets and they promptly invaded forerunner planets. Forerunners got pissed, beat the humans. and de-evolved them into apes, which leads to current humans.

It is to be expected Vapo. Microsoft are going to milk halo dry. Halo is owned my Mircrosoft, so its going to be on the Xbox 360 for a loooong time.

Halopedia, enough stuff there to make you more knowledgable than a WoW fanboy.

This is why I like Halo, unlike CoD or other FPS, the dev's actually put a decent amount of effort into a storyline that actually doesn't involve

This is too true. Also, I hate you for reminding me of that site, I havent been on it since christmas and now I have exams in a week &%*$DAMMIT!

If you like the story of Halo, read the books, they add even more. Then there's the comic books, many posters, the mouse pads, the beach towels, the hand soap, toothbrushes and if you are still missing some of the story, you can't go past the golden encrusted paper-clips. Though I think the last one is just a shameless money-grab.

I really dont mind if they milked the series so dry the cow turned inside out and they started churning meat products, Halo is Halo, no matter where. Even though I only played-through Reach and ODST once, and never finished Halo:Wars
