Bans. What does it mean to you, and what happens when you are banned?

- What NOT to do?

Start a post in the forum about it for one. They will be dis-regarded and usually deleted. Come onto any BigD source such as IRC or TS and complain about it. You do not make friends that way.
Do not send mass PMs to admins, flood admins PM box's, flood the reportplayer email address, flood IRC chat, or add an admin to MSN and start hurling abuse/flooding chat/demanding things. It will get you nowhere, only making you and the person you are trying to talk to frustrated as well, and most likely end up with you being ignored. Be mature, calm and patient when explaining the problem. Be aware you are probably dragging someone away from their family/dinner/etc to deal with the situation. A little respect will get you a long way.


- What do I do if I am banned?

You first port of call if you think you have been banned is to send an email to reportplayers@bigdga ming.net your Player Name, and possibly the date you think it may have occurred on, as well as what you think may have contributed to you getting banned.
To make it easier and quicker for someone to read your email, please write in some form of English that can be formed into a proper sentence. Nt lyk thz cyz lol i cnt undastnd whn any1 typz lyk a f00lz0R! ROFLMAO!
- What next?
If you have been banned, you will get a response from an admin stating why, and for how long. If you wish to contest your ban, reply to the Admin with a reason as to why you think your ban should be lifted early, or lowered in length.
- What can I expect when I am unbanned?
An apology would be nice. We don't hold grudges, and if your actions affected our community, then it would be a nice gesture.
- What can I be banned for and how long?
Bans usually only occur for bad behaviour, whether it be dropping a few too many F-Bombs or even worse a C-Bomb. Verbally attacking another player in game, or Sassin' the Admin-folk. We are human, and we like to play PR too, so if we simply ask you to tone it down in a matter of words, then please do it.
So how long can you be banned for? Well it depends on what you have done. If you have a potty-mouth then expect a 1-3 day ban. Drop the cbomb and its a long holiday for you. If you're a repeat potty-mouth addict then it could be a week or more.
If you attack a player verbally then its 5+ days depending on what was said, and how generally nasty you were.
If you have been warned before or served a ban of any length then expect the next one to be somewhat longer.

If you hack our server, then don't expect a ban, just a knock on your door with two boys in blue attending your lubrication needs with a cell mate named Bubba. I hear spit works wonders.
The big one which we don't give second chances for is cheating. If you cheat you will contract herpes which will be infested by crabs and your genitals will surely fall off. And you will also get a perm ban and be PB Blacklisted. So happy BF2ing after that great idea!
