ps3 version looks okay (wish it had a screenshot facility). Just lack of AA and lesser detailed draw distance. Otherwise it beats anyone running farcry with a 7 series nvidia card.

god i love farcry 2 lol, even on med - low it looks nice! and damn that gold ak is hot

btw guys if your not up to the 50% mark in the game then you got some big suprises coming your way , its an epic story line thats for sure

It doesnt look as great as I expected it, either that or I dont like the bad optics/ view it seems to have, blurry and stuff...

It sucks to hear the bad talk about it, other wise I might consider it for a change from arma untill arma 2 comes.. :p

By the sounds of it tho, if its got a good a solid platform it could be a good base to work with for realistic multiplayer mods?

yer well thats wat im looking forward to, the mods, however they arnt releasing ne offical mod tools -.-... but there are bound to be several community made mod tools. and the map maker is awesome! with a few patches and mod i can see this game going far

I love how the Sun Rises in Far Cry 2, looks bloody amazing. I also like how everything you do from picking things up, jumpin the car to switching to the MG is all shown through the first person perspective. I cant wait for a realistic mod or any great mods the community will get thier hands on

I also found a Gold AK in a cave somewhere. Its a great gun, but im scared to use it too much

haha yer, i find myself replacing my guns every time b4 a mission lol, cant trust the damn things lol, but damn the silenced MP5 kicks ass! huge ROF and drops em fast, but goes through ammo like crazy

i tend to use the mac-10/sniper combo, find it the easiest way to get by on infamous, but now i just cruise around in a mk-19 mounted assault vehicle


mines the one on the right, left one is what it looked like when i first found it. clearing checkpoints never been so easy, probably had 4+ hours with the same vehicle

WTF where and when do you get the mk-19 mounted assault vehicle ? Anyway heres what my game currently looks like on my AGP Sapphire HD 2600XT card setup I'll post some new screenshots once I have my PCI Express Sapphire HD 4850 running.


Take one cliff a dash of dune buggy and add a tree to the mix.


This is what happens to people who try to assault me in a vehicle.

Also what character did everyone choose I'm using the Irishman why ... well the bad guy is called the JACKAL it just seemed right that I use a IRA Irishman I have every intent on shooting him with a sniper rifle if I can.

We're all over FarCry now.. try Clear Sky instead... epic game is epic (loved the first one).

Anyone has it? Good fun... really loved the first STALKER as I thought it was an excellent RPG/FPS Hybrid. The gameworld was also stunningly realised.

Clear Sky has more pretty eye candy to go with as well as a much clearer sequence of missions. It's kind of what I was hoping Fallout would be like. Well worth a purchase... don't know where the hell I'm going to find time to complete this, fallout 3, farcry 2 as well as play vanilla and Bad Company (with LittleBigPlanet around the corner)... but damnit I won't fail for lack of trying.

Love the depth of field when you reload too, very clever.

I played the original STALKER and from what I have read and seen Clear Sky is no different and has the same issues/bugs. Far Cry 2 is a much better game has a tenth of the bugs and you die a whole lot less from random encounters.

Damn just played Farcry 2 for the first time. Very cool, lotsa nice little unique things.

Yeh those screenies from Clear Sky really show a graphic update, looks pretty good. But how does it play Roger? I'm with Vis, really liked Stalker, but it had too many flaws, and from what i've read Clear Sky is the same. Whats you're take?
